Dubu Dubu aka Tofu  Smile Nov 26, 2014

Attracted by plastic food replicas displayed at the windows of their establishment. Just dropped by for lunch after a long walk in the mall.

Ordered their signature seafood soondubu jigae set and house specialty dessert, citron dubu.

Piping hot seafood soondubu jigae was served with dubu dubu rice and four side dishes. No joke! Its real piping hot from the kitchen and I dare to say this the only one so far in a shopping mall. Thumbs up for this as I like my food served hot.

Slowly enjoyed the broth and voila! kiss  Self declared hot and spicy food lover but this for sure above my tolerance level. I don't expect it to be so steaming hot and spicy. Perhaps due to the steaming hot pot? I really have no idea.

The dubu dubu rice is brown red rice garnished with roasted sesame seeds. The rice was served cold and tasteless. Best to go with the rich flavoured broth.
Citron Dubu

Citron Dubu

Citron dubu is citrus bean curd with tangy flavour jelly topping but the bean curd was not smooth in texture. A bit pricey for a small bowl of dessert at RM 7.90.

Overall, the lunch set is affordable and quite big portion. Do give it a try but the side dishes a bit let down.

Chocolate Espresso Walnut Smile Sep 05, 2014

Crunchy walnut on top of the rich creamy and moist chocolate cake just a nicely paired up. The cake was compact and one piece alone could satisfied your craving for chocolate cake. The only minus point here was the chocolate curls garnished on the cake. It was extremely sweet. Otherwise it would be perfectly superb.

Delicious Dry Pan Mee

Delicious Dry Pan Mee

I would say this was extremely good! Plenty of minced pork, fried onion and mushroom just simply mixed so well with the pan mee. Rest assured pan mee lover will definitely fall for it... just simply yummy chopsticksmile Be early otherwise fullhouse or sold out before end of the day.

Nice meal @ Yu Yi Smile May 03, 2014

Onion rice just nice with the onion fragrant and not oily at all. Good to eat it with other dishes but definitely not with bak kut teh as the strong bak kut teh taste will overcome the onion fragrant.

Claypot bak kut teh come with your choice of pork, enoki mushrooms, oyster mushrooms, shiitake mushrooms, button mushrooms, cabbage and chinese beancurd skin at RM 13.00 per pax. Bak kut teh in a bowl also available at RM 11.00 per pax but without all the mushrooms. The bak kut teh soup not overly salty and strong herbs went well with the white rice.

Looking for something a little lighter ? Try Yu Yi cantonese sang mee at RM 7.00 per pax. I like it very much as it was very simple and not a heavy meal. The noodles was light even it was deep fried before hand. Give it a try ladies !

Prawn Mee Smile Mar 24, 2014

Prawn Mee

Prawn Mee

Prawn Mee comes with yellow noodles and vermicelli, topped with sliced pork, small prawns, fish cake, half of hard-boiled egg, water spinach (kangkung) and fried shallots in the fragrant prawn broth. I enjoyed the broth, even though it wasn’t the best and a bit oily but it was pretty good still. You get to taste the concentrated essence of prawns and the soup is flavorful enough to go with the noodles. Extra sambal given for those like the extra kick  smile
