Octopus takoyaki

Takoyaki is one of my favourite Japanese streetfood. This takoyaki is quite disappointing. It is quite floury and it lacks the flavour of authentic Japanese takoyaki.The tuna flakes are quite "fishy" and the sauce is quite sweet.

Assam laksa is a classic kopitiam dish that must not be missed. This assam laksa is not as good as the other assam laksa that could be found in Penang. The broth is quite salty and it lacks fish flavour. It is garnished with red onions, cucumbers, red chillies, and pineapples.

Pavilion coffee is a cafe style restaurant serving various types of food. It is located at Lebuh Presgrave, George TownYellow duckie rice

This yellow duckie rice looks great but does not taste good at all. It is actually flavoured rice cooked with dried raisins and spices served with braised vegetables (potatoes, carrots, onions). It tastes quite ?bland. The rice is cooked just right but it lacks flavour. To me, the braised vegetables do not complement the rice that well. I would never order this dish again.

Old Town White Coffee is a well-known Malaysian kopitiam style chain restaurant serving great Malaysian food. This branch is located at Jalan Mayang Pasir 1, Off Jalan Mahsuri, Bandar Bayan Baru, Bayan Lepas.Old Town Signature Nasi Lemak with Fried Chicken

The nasi lemak served in this branch is not up to its standard. It is quite disappointing. The chicken is overcooked and it is way too small. The rice is slightly firm (undercooked) with not much coconut milk flavour. Overall, this nasi lemak is not good and different from the one served in other branches.

Old Town White Coffee is a well-known Malaysian kopitiam style chain restaurant serving great Malaysian food. This branch is located at Jalan Van Praagh, Taman Kheng Tian, Jelutong.Old Town Western Platter

This Old Town Western Platter is disappointing. The pan-fried egg is overcooked and some of it is burnt. The chips are not fresh as they are soggy and quite hard to bite. The sausage and the toast were alright. Overall, this dish is not great and it is different from other branch.
