Egg tart is one of my all time favourite Hong Kong style pastry. The pastry is very buttery and it just melts in your mouth. The egg custard filling is soft and not too sweet. It is best eaten while still hot. The chicken siew pao is baked perfectly. The pastry is crispy and complements the slight sweetness of the chicken filling.

Penang char kueh teow is one of my all-time favourite hawker stall food. The kueh teow is fried till fragrant ("wok hei") with dark soy sauce, chinese sausage, egg, bean sprouts, prawns and cockles. It is not oily. I personally prefer spicy Penang char kueh teow.
