Wan tan mee Smile Dec 10, 2013
Categories : Chinese | Kopitiam

I love to have my breakfast at here. The wan tan mee are firm and springy and the soy sauce that accompanies the noodles is just perfect (as I always take it dry). Presentation’s good as they always come in clean plates and the way the food is arranged on the plates just invites you to dig in. Especially those char siew is in big slice. Normally I will request them not to put on peppers due to I`m not a pepper lover. The wan tan is good too. If you are not in a mood to have mee, you can try to order the wan tan only.

The surrounding (on morning) is quiet and clean, service not bad, they had just enough worker to serve and the service is fast. The price is acceptable. If I`m not mistaken the price for my breakfast as shown in the photo is below than RM7.00 (wantan mee + hot milo)

The other advantage of this kopitiam is, they did provide free wifi. Oh, how many of kopitiam will provide free wifi? tongue lol

Chee Cheong Fun Smile Dec 10, 2013
Categories : Chinese | Food court

Hometown is always the best place for us, especially when we talk about foods. In my hometown, my husband`s favourite is always chee cheong fun. In the Kampar style of chee cheong fun, the steamed sheets of rice flour are hand cut into narrow strips that looked like thick kway teow. Kampar chee cheong fun is eaten with a variety of different gravy and sauces as well as accompanying side dishes. He choose curry as the gravy

The chee cheong fun felt soft and light tasting. The hand made chee cheong fun was not oily. The chee cheong fun was relatively thick and felt slightly grainy. The chee cheong fun does a good job of soaking up the curry gravy. The curry coated chee cheong fun was smooth and was fun to gently chew.

Those chu pei (pork skin) is the best combination with chee cheong fun, unlike those in KL. KL`s chu pei (pork skin) was thick and dry even though it soak in the curry gravy. Kampar`s pork skin is more elastic and juicy. Besides that the price is more cheaper compare to KL. With this portion of chee cheong fun and side dishes (pork skin, tauhu, meat balls & eggplant), it cost on RM7.00.

If you feel like wanna have a try on it, please wake up a bit early since it`s only open in the morning at the medan selera food court. Of course there is a night as well, but it is different from this stall.

Dim Sum Smile Dec 09, 2013

Categories : Chinese | Restaurant | Dim sum

There is a lots of dim sum outlet in Puchong. This is one of the dim sum outlet most people will choose to dine in. Early in the morning, it's already packed but you don`t have to worried about getting a seat at here, there were plenty of seat at the ground floor and the 1st floor, they even take over the next shop just to serve more customer.
Ever think of the service? Not too worried too. There are plenty of people ready to serve you due to the boss hired many of the part time workers on weekends.

Har Gau & Siew Mai is the most common food that we will order, right? The Har Gau & Siew Mai were great if instantly steamed upon ordering.

Other than Har Gau & Siew Mai, this few items is common in every dim sum shop also.

Highly recommend this porridge, different from other dim sum shop, this porridge is full of the ingredients. Prawn, century egg and minced meat served with onions and fried char keuy as topping. It`s really un-describable.

Price is reasonable. Not really remember how much is it but I can confirm that the price is below RM100.00 for 5 person to dine in. It is a place you should drop by whenever you come over to Puchong.

Buffet Steamboat (3 in 1)  Smile Dec 09, 2013
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Chinese | Restaurant | Steamboat/Hotpot | BBQ

The other day I came across steamboat restaurant in Bandar Puteri Puchong. Find it quite interesting cause it is a 3 in 1 steamboat so we made a decision to have a try on it. Steamboat + Frying (on pan surrounding the pot of soup) and BBQ on a small mobile bbq pit. There are only 2 types of soup base offered here. Chicken soup & Tom Yam.

As shown in the photos, there are different types of food served, all categorize in order. There are a bbq / grill corner, seafood corner, vegetables, many types of dried noodles to use for steamboat, frozen meat balls or processed meat, ice creams, fruits, cooked dishes and many more. The most special about the food is there is a aquarium in the middle of the shop, and inside the aquarium there is some fresh prawns. You can catch and cook them alive. The prawn will jump out when you put it inside the steamboat bowl. Can`t admit that their seafood is quite fresh. As for ice cream lovers, there is lots of choices include with scope ice cream, cone and stick ice cream. Service is consider acceptable but even though just few of the workers only. The place is quite big and you find it comfortable to dine in.

All you can eat buffet steamboat priced at RM35 (adult) RM25 (children). As for children below height of 120cm charges is at RM10.

Categories : Chinese | Kopitiam | Noodles

My husband told me that there is 1 restaurant is quite nice around Puchong Perdana. When we reach there, my husband ordered one of his favourite, sambal kangkung with chicken rice and I ordered yee mee. The dish that I ordered so so only, found it abit disappointed since my husband told me that the dishes is quite nice but it is tasteless to me. As for him, his sambal kangkung chicken ricebis quite nice and smells good. The rice come with a free soup.
Although disappointed with the yee mee that I order, I have to finish it. When I'm eating halfway I realise that something ran over. I thought that maybe I'm mistaken but after few times, finally I confirmed that it was a RAT! I was shocked and almost yell out for help. The rat ran pass through beside me. OMG.... wad can I do? shocked Quickly I ask my husband to settle the bill and get out from there!
