Big bao Cry Sep 16, 2013

Categories : Chinese | Kopitiam | Dim sum

One of the most famous dim sum restaurant around jalan ipoh, it open until three to four in the morning, people that go clubbing like to come here for breakfast included me as well. The food were consider okie but the price were damn expensive.

This morning i brought this big bao or known as 'dai bao' from this kopitiam, i think they have either over steamed it or maybe they had keep the bao in the fridge for a very long time, the bao skin taste weird, not nice at all, but the meat inside still consider okie but the texture a bit soft, not too fresh.

if i going to rate this i would give 4/10

This something new that is not in their menu yet, but if you ask the waitress to recommend you something she would recommend you this, minced pork burger meat.

It is actually minced pork meat which mix with a bit of 'fa diu' then steam it until it have the shape of a burger meat then later cooked with the tepanyaki sauce.

It quite nice, something special where you find it anywhere else. It also come along with some side dishes like corn and egg but abit expensive.

If i were to rate this i would give 8/10

Vietnamese chicken rice Smile Sep 16, 2013

Something i seldom find it at else where, normally at other restaurant the most common dishes will be bbq pork chop, mushroom sauce or tomato sauce but this one is Vietnamese chicken chop with rice.

To me the taste were almost similar like bbq sauce but a bit more sweeter and they did put on some sesame seed on it. This dish were came along with some side dishes like corn, and mashed potato.

If i were to rate this i would probably give 9/10

Curry mee OK Sep 16, 2013

sometimes we would not want to have something so heavy before dinner but hungry how? Old town is now having some new menu for Breakfast, lunch, tea break, dinner and supper.

This afternoon i decided to try their tea break menu where i had ordered a curry mee, the price of it is cheaper compare to normal price as it come along with a drink but the curry mee was in smaller portion if you compare to normal hours, like lunch and dinner.

But the taste of the curry still remain the same like normal hours, they did not add in water to make the curry plain, at least you can still taste the santan.

if i'm going to rate this i would give 6/10

Although the weather were very hot but still i do not want to miss this tom yam clay pot lou shu fun.

I always like to look for something spicy, and this is something that you should not miss out when you come to visit kampar.

Actually you can either to choose it with yee mee but i like lou shu fun more, this tom yam were not too spicy but there is a strong aroma of lime maybe the aunty that cook this put too much lime sauce. besides that inside the pot you can see there is alot of other ingredients such as pork fu chuk and so on.

The important is you wont able get it so cheap at kl.

If i were to rate this i would give 8/10
