sweet and sour crabs

After picking up my friends from Indonesia, and friends back from Cambodia trip, we decided to go for a decent crabs feast. My friend strongly recommend us to this seafood place.

Overall, the look of the restaurant is giving you the feel of the 90's, another word I think they have not been rennovated since then. But the place is well maintained and up keep. The cleanliness is good too. I think they are deserved for a "B".

My friend is so familiar with this place, he even knows a few of the waiter and waitress. Good point to know them is, if the crabs stock are not good, they will not advice you to order the crabs dish or they will tell you what best to cook with the crabs.

We ordered the Chef recipe's Sweet and Sour Crabs. The taste is good, because the sauce is specially prepared and made by the chef. It is not same as those from the other seafood restaurant that usually use the sweet sauce with maggi chili sauce.

I like the taste of the sauce, as it is with a bit of sweetness and the sourness is so mild, but yet they blend so well with the freshness of the crabs and brings up the strong flavour and taste. Mama-mia!

Not forget to mention, the size of the crabs is not very big, but the meat flesh is so full. One more thing to surprise me is, beside serving the fried mann-tou bread, they have toast bread too.

Thin slices of toast bread that have burnt into perfection are to be dip into the sweet & sour sauce, the crispy-ness of the toast bread is very fullfilling.

Great moment and great food. Will sure revisit for more, soon.

a friend of mine came from Singapore and asking me about this restaurant in Klang that serves Pan Mee. She told me that this restaurant is very famous among the Singaporean too.

I told her that this place is indeed very famous for the noodle dough. Pan Mee also known as Mee Hoon Kuih in most Hokkien people. There are many type and variance of Mee Hoon Kuih in Malaysia nowadays. Some prefer it with more chewie bite, some love it to be soft and smooth, some would like them to be slice out like noodle strings, some will want them to be tear out in small pieces about like the size of wan tan skin.

This restaurant is famous for its ultra thin tear slices of mee hoon kuih with their taste broth soup. The noodle is so smooth like the silk, and the texture is so soft. The noodles blends so well with the broth soup and fried anchovies.
Personally, I will break the egg york and mixed it with the soup and make the soup taste even greater and creamier.

As usual for every visit, I will dry the bowl completely. The place is always full of crowds, and you must allow people to join and share table with you. In average, you will have to wait up to 30min for your turn.

Wealthy Rich Americano Coffee Smile Sep 26, 2013

dr. Cafe's Americano Coffee

dr. Cafe's Americano Coffee

i am not a big coffee fans, but i do goto some coffee shops and cafes occassionally. lately, i was introduced by a few of my friends that are the hardcore coffee lover. they insisted me to stop visiting to my regular cafes outlets and go try this new cafe in town.

One day I was going to have a evening appointment in Solaris Mont Kiara, and I went there early to avoid the heavy traffics. And I saw from far, there is this cafe that my friend mentioned to me.

I went in and ordered a cup of hot Americano Coffee. Before I take my first sip on the hot coffee, I am already happy on the price menu, as I can see the price is much more cheaper than the other popular competitvie in the market. I don't really care if they served me a lousy coffee after that. Cause the price has won my heart.

I get myself a seat near the counter and plugged in my laptop (as usual) to enjoy the free Internet surfing service while enjoying my cup of coffee. The coffee is so rich in taste as well as the aroma, every single sip of the coffee makes you feel so good.

The baristas are so friendly, and i can see they already have many regulars visiting them daily. Some regulars even visiting more than 2 times on the same day.

This cafe makes me think of "Where everybody knows your name", the tagline/theme song for the TV series "Cheers".

RM6.90 only...believe it.

RM6.90 only...believe it.

I am always mad about steamboat. I am a total steamboat lover. My friend brought me to this place few days back and I was totally shocked with the crowds. We waited in the queue for about 30min. The place is huge, it consists of more than 100 tables.

Each servings per pax is only at RM6.90 and you will be getting a middle size prawn, a cube of fish, fish balls, slice fish cake, strings of fish noodle, vegetables, noodle, egg, toufu, and a half crab. yes, half piece of flowery crab.

all the seafood are so fresh, and it is supplied from the hypermart located at the ground floor.

you can have the choice of the standard broth soup base, or the famous tomyam soup base. usually people will go for the combination pot, so everyone got a chance to taste on both of the soup.

the serving portion is so reasonable. it is just nice for a person, but just in case if you want more, you can always order from the ala-carte menu.

i will strongly advice you to make reservation if you having the large numbers of group. they even have a karaoke room for those that ordered the VIP package.

It is a good news for the muslim friends. Always wanted to try a good chinese style chicken rice? Now there is a nice chicken rice restaurant that is halal certified in town. You can see the big halal logo lighted up in front of the shop.

It is famous not because of the name, it is good for the food. The chicken meat are so tender and smooth, the rice is cooked with the chicken broth with the fragrance aroma. every single bit of rice is cooked well and covered with the wonderful taste.

Many people visiting the shop from time to time, many take-away business. You may have to have some patient to wait as usually one walk-in customer may just ordered for packed-away of 20 packs.

I have encountered many times. bad luck me. haha...

I was too busy scoping the meal and have forgotten to snap the photo, every time i visited the place.
i will always order for an extra bowl of chicken broth steamed rice. The rice is taste so good, even eating on its own.

you will also get a bowl of free chicken broth soup for every meal. wow! simply wonderful.
