Sizzling Tofu OK Sep 30, 2013   (Related Review)

One of the dishes which the waitress recommended was the sizzling tofu. It was among the first to arrive after the lala soup, which I am not surprised as it is not too complicated to make.

Contrary to what it's name suggests, this dish did not come sizzling. Regardless, I quite enjoyed this dish. The tofu was well cooked, as it was smooth yet firm. The sauce was thick and flavourful and it comes with the egg scrambled among the gravy. The gravy also has a generous amount of mixed vegetables, mainly the peas, diced carrots and corn kernels.

This dish costs RM16 for a large serving for 6 people.

Sausage Cheese Bun Smile Sep 30, 2013   (Related Review)

My mouth was salivating when I saw this amazing looking bun. I bought it along with a few others for my dinner and the next day's breakfast.

The cheese was coated on top of the sausages and the base was the bun itself. The cheese managed to cover most of the sausage and it gave a savoury taste to the bun. The bun base was slightly sweet thus balance out the savoury taste. It's still one of the best selection that I've chosen that day.

Paku Belacan OK Sep 30, 2013   (Related Review)

Apart from the seafood and the meat, of course we have to order a vegetable based dish so that the meal is a complete nutritional one.

I ordered the Paku Belacan, as I have not tried it for quite some time and if made correctly, it can be very delicious.
The paku belacan here generally is quite tasty. I liked that the vegetables had a decent amount of belacan gravy with it, and also it has some sliced onions in it.

The belacan was very spicy, and many of us ended up sweating after finishing this dish. Spicy as it is, it blends very well with the vegetables and serves very good with white rice.

Fried Calamari OK Sep 30, 2013   (Related Review)

New Yew Sang is a typical coffeeshop which serves various hawker food during the day, but when the sun goes down, it turns into a Thai restaurant. We came by here for dinner one day as we always passes by this restaurant.

One of my many favourite seafood dish is the fried calamari, and therefore I ordered it.

I liked that the fried calamari were very crispy, in fact it was very hot when it was first served we had to wait for a while more to it to cool down. The calamari were chewy and delicious, especially when dipped into their Thai chilli sauce which was both sour, spicy and sweet as well. All in all a good dish to have.

Taiwan Plum Tea with Aiyu Jelly Smile Sep 30, 2013

My boss has decided to treat us all with Chatime. Delighted, I ordered my regular favourite, the taiwan plum tea with aiyu jelly.

This particular chatime drink never fails to drench my thirst. After a full day of hot and humid weather. The taiwan plum tea is refreshing to my core. The drink was sweet and sour. The aiyu jelly was a nice addition for something to chew on. It was smooth and went well with the Taiwan plum tea.
