Cendol Smile Sep 29, 2013

One of the branch of Little Penang Café is located in Ground Floor, The Curve Shopping Mall. It serves authentic Penang hawker food and their specialties are Char Keow Teow, Prawn Mee, Assam Laksa, Nasi Lemak and Curry Mee. Desserts like cendol and ais kacang are also 'must trys'. The environment is cosy and pleasant and the inetrior design is similar like a traditional chinese kopitiam. I have ordered one of their famous dessert, which is cendol. It is basically a shaved ice, pour with coconut milk and brown sugar, and topped with cendol and red bean. It is so refreshing and taste good.

Hazelnut Sesame Smile Sep 26, 2013

Tong Kee Brothers Confectionery (棠记兄弟饼家) was founded by the Hoong family during the 1960s and was well established in 1970. It now already have a number of branches within Klang Valley and their headquarter is in Pudu, Kuala Lumpur. Most of the people around Kuala Lumpur are familiar with Tong Kee's mouth watering egg tart of flaky pastry and eggy custard. One of the branch is located in Kota Damansara. Upon entering the shop, I am attracted by the smell of freshly baked bread and the colourful pastries and cakes glowing from a bright showcase. The pastries here are "non halal" as they used lards, bacons and hams. I have decided to try their cake since they are having "buy 2 free 1" promotion. I have chosen Mix Fruit Pudding, Hazelnut Sesame and Black Forest. At the price of RM13.80, you can get 3 slices of cake, which I think is really worth the money. All the cake are nice, personally I like the Hazelnut Sesame Cake very much, the taste is really unique and the sponge is really fragrant and light.

One of the Tong Kee Brother Confectionery is located at Subang Jaya. It is one of the famous bakery shop in Subang where they specialize on egg tart. Upon entering the shop, I am attracted by the smell of freshly baked bread and the colourful pastries and cakes glowing from a bright showcase. The pastries here are "non halal" as they used lards, bacons and hams. My first thought was went to get their famous egg tart from the heated showcase. Somehow, I get attracted by the Kaya Puff beside the Egg Tart, so I decided to get both of them. The egg tart is nice to eat while it still hot. The pastry part is so crispy and the egg part is so smooth and soft. As for the Kaya Puff, the pastry again is very crispy, the kaya portion is just nice and is more solid type. Overall, I think the price is reasonable and the pastry is really tempting and delicious.

One of the Krispy Kreme Doughnuts branch is located at Lower Ground Floor OF Setia City Mall. It has three outlets in Klang Valley of Malaysia and their first store is in Berjaya Times Square. With more and more outlets opening in town, now everyone can have a taste of the popular American doughnut joint. With the tagline "We Make Fresh Doughnuts Daily",it has a variety of doughnuts, fresh coffee and collectibles. It has a few tables there for dine in, with power outlet and wifi connection for anyone who want to use their laptop. I have ordered Peanut Chocolate Doughnut, which is an empty doughnut that coated with peanut butter and topped with chocolate. The doughnuts is very fresh and soft and I thin this is the best doughnut I have so far. Overall, I am very satisfy with the doughnuts.
