Toast Box is established in December 2005 as a food stall unit of Food Republic Wisma Atria in Singapore and expanding its foothold in Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Hong Kong and China. Their signature food of course is the Nanyang Kopi. It also serves other traditional favourites like peanut toast thick, Asian favourites such as mee siam, nasi lemak and soft-boiled eggs. I have ordered Nasi Lemak Packet. The ingredients include fried anchovy, peanut, small piece of omelette and sambal. Overall, the nasi lemak is just normal.

One of the Toast Box branch is located at Lower Ground Floor, Central Zone, Berjaya Times Square. It is a a reflection of the coffee shops from the 60s and 70s, where the common practice for breakfast was a fragrant cup of Nanyang Coffee accompanied by freshly toasted bread. I have ordered Kaya Toast Set which comes with Half boiled Eggs and a cup of Hot Coffee. Just pay another 50 cent to upsize your coffee. This is really a fantastic breakfast set to kick off your day. The toast is nice, but the half boiled eggs are a bit overcooked and they put too much milk on the coffee.

One of the Overtime branch is located at Ground Floor, Oasis Boulevard, Sunway Pyramid Shopping Mall. As you know, Overtime is a place to have beer at night, but recently they have started to offer set lunch which include a soft drink and refillable ice cream. I think there are around 10 sets to choose from if I am not mistaken. The environment here is very cosy and they used the beer barrel as the table. I have ordered Stewed Chicken with Butter Cream Rice. The food is not bad, but of course cannot compare with other Chinese Seafood Restaurant outside. Remember to ask the waiter to server the ice cream first while waiting for your main meal. By doing this, you can reduce your waiting time. Personally, I think this set lunch is worth the price.

Restaurant Yong Tau Foo Chen Chen is located at the end the shop lot in Bukit Rahman Putra, just behind a mamak stall. Obviously, from the restaurant name, it is specialised in Yong Tau Foo (minced pork and fish that stuff into veggie). It offers Full range of “yong” stuff like Brinjal, Bitter Gourd, Lady Finger, Chilli, Fried Foo Fu Chuk, Tau Fu, Dumpling and Bean Curd. Beside Yong Tau Foo, it also offers Fish Head Curry, Assam Kampung Fish, Steam Fish..etc. There are plenty of tables here, so normally no need to wait for any queue. Parking is not an issue as well as there are plenty car park near by. We have ordered 17 pieces mixture of Yong Tau Foo. Bean Curd and Fu Chuk are fried while Tau Fu, Lady Finger, Butter Gourd and Dumpling are in soup. The Yong Tau Foo here are just normal for me as I think I can find other place better than this restaurant. Overall, for the price of RM1.20 per piece, I think the price is reasonable if you take the Yong Tau Foo size into consideration.

T-Bowl Concept Restaurant is located at First Floor of Sunway Pyramid Shopping Mall. The first branch is located at 3rd floor of QueensBay Mall, Penang. This restaurant has designed base on thebathroom concept; where the toilet bowl used as seat, basin as dining table, mini toilet bowls as food bowl. Beside that, this restaurant has 3 cute and meaningful main theme characters call the Tbros (Toilet Brothers) such as the toilet bowl, stool and shower. There are varieties of food here range from Japan, Korean, Western, Hong Kong till oriental style. We have ordered their Everyday Set Meal, which are Set Rice with Cheese Baked Chicken and Fried Mince Meat Noodle with Garlic Butter. Each set comes with a drink and mushroom soup. The food presentation is good, but frankly speaking, the food is just normal, nothing to shout about. If never try this new concept restaurant, still worth to have a try.
