I have been wanting to eat Goulash for a long time ever since I spotted this place when it first opened but never had a chance to come here till today when there was a Coffee and Arts festival which i came for. The boss is Hungarian so this explains the Hungarian original taste.

The beef goulash with a big dollop of sour cream was quite tasty and less salty than the one in Hungary itself. I did not order Kalac because I have tried that before and also we would be having dinner later. The soup is very deep in flavour. The portion is quite big and the big slab of beef made the RM 17.90 price worth it. There was also no service charge. They actually serve goulash with some pasta-like noodles but I did not order that.

I would try their Kalac next time I come here.

Finally, after trying to eat here thrice and failing to get a table or reaching here when it was about to close, tonight we rushed through the traffic and got a seat to dine alfresco. The air outside is so cooling and airy, really great for a night out.

My friend ordered an Udon which was so amazing. It came with so many ingredients like tiny mushrooms, seaweed, slices of meat. In fact, the whole soup was swimming with ingredients. The soup was not salty at all like the ramen in Paradigm mall but was clear soup.

We also ordered assorted sushi such as scallop, cuttlefish, octopus, salmon, fish roe and all types of Japanese raw fish. The sushi are all very fresh. Each of it costs RM 3-6.

I ordered the asssorted Yakitor meat of chicken balls, chicken meat, chicken liver, chicken heart and also pork. The yakitori lacks seasoning and is a bit too plain in terms of taste.

The Dobin Mushi soup came served in a teapot. A squeeze of lime in the little cup of soup smoky with bonito and it took the edge off the saltiness. Inside the teapot were chicken meat, a prawn, fish, ginkgo nut and eringi mushroom in a clear dashi stock with a dash of sake. The prawn in it was so fresh and sweet. I loved the soup so much as the taste is quite unique, not salty or oily too.

I ordered the Chocolate Wafer with vanilla ice-cream which was so tasty albeit the soggy wafer. But after all, it is ready made. The best part is the thin dash of chocolate in the middle.

O.K. so my friends decided to have a gathering here instead of the usual cell group. Thank god I was a little free today to join them since it was like an eternity since I met them. By the time I reached there at about 8.50 pm, almost 9pm, everyone has finished their dinner.

I took quite some time to order the food because my friends said that the spinach pasta which 2 of them ordered was too 'jelak' or I would say too creamy for the normal Malaysian. Since I am always inclined to order something green, alright I am that weird, I do not like white coloured food such as carbonara or anything towards the cheesy creamy side. My friends who ordered the Chicken Coleslaw said it was "Just Ok" and he even said it as though he was forced to. Pork Chop is out of the question as I dislike pork. So finally I almost ordered the spinach pasta if not for the waitress who recommended Chicken Cacciatore (RM 24.90) to me and it was so amazing and beats the one at Am Sande.

This chicken was lightly grilled but till the skin was slightly crispy from the oven. The meat very tender. The best part is that it was presented right smack in the middle of a bed of spiral-shaped macaroni which came in 2 colours, the normal original color and also green! (Oh Yeah!) My friend even said mine smelled tasty too. There was a little of sauce which was slightly towards the bolognaise side. Everyone agreed my dish was the best. Oh, I just had to add that this dish is so healthy and would never put the guilt in you for having just had some fatty food!

This place is quite small and could only accommodate about 10 tables and cannot seem to accommodate more than that.

I have always been wanting to come here but never had the time. Finally I decided to come here tonight to celebrate my best friend's birthday which falls the next day, on 10 Sept.

The place looks like a bistro, very lively and crowded even on a Tuesday. The waiter was so friendly and kind and introduced me to the mushroom sauce for my chicken chop. He even told me that if the sauce was too salty for me, he could give me the black pepper sauce for free!

I ordered the famous Chicken Chop (RM 15.90) with mushroom sauce. This is the first time I eat Western food where they provide 2 scoops of mashed potatoes with 2 different sauce! See how amazing this place at an amazingly reasonable price for budget foodies like me. The mushroom pieces can also be seen inside, in big slices.

My friend ordered the famous Pork Rib (RM 28.60) which came with side dishes similar like mine. I am not a fan of pork so I cannot comment much. I felt that the meat is quite ok, not too coarse.

I ordered the Cucumber Lime Juice (RM 4.50) as I love cucumber juice. It came with fresh peppermint leaves and I absolutely love it.

The iced lemon tea (RM 4.90) came in a very big glass, well worth the price.

We are definitely making a comeback here to try the mississipi chicken, duck comfit etc where all the pictures look so inviting.

Strangers at 47 Smile Aug 27, 2014

I was so hungry. I wanted to eat at The Humble Pie whose interview with the founders were aired on BFM 89.90 last few weeks. However, it was closed. So naturally we went to the nearby restaurant, that looks quite special with a unique name called "Strangers at 47". I found out that the restaurant was only 6-weeks-old.

I noticed that the menu was quite limited and consisted of only 3 pages, 1 for savoury crepes, page 2 for sweet crepes and page 3 for beverage.

I ordered the Matcha Latte (RM 10) which was incredible with thick green tea infused inside. The best part if the beautiful heart design on top of the froth which is not normally done for matcha latte.

My friend ordered the Pineapple, Orange Banana Smoothie, in a very small mini bottle (RM 7).

I ordered the Lethal Shrooms (RM 19.50) which was amazing. It has all my favourite mushrooms like shitake, abalone, portobello, baby king oyster mushrooms and also chopped tomatoes and onion salsa and some special type of squashed spinach like that of Popeye's. The crepe is very thin and skilfully made. There is also a bull's eye egg on top with very soft egg white and the runny yoke is so tasty when it leaked on top of the crepe. Totally egg heaven.

My friend ordered Shore to Please savoury crepe which came with a lot of seafood such Cajun-inspired tiger prawns, battered squid, salted egg yolk, spinach, caramelised onions & roasted cherry tomatoes. I find this very delicious. There was some cheese cooked together.

The place is opened by a cute young lady and the cute handsome dessert chef who were both hospitality students. All the waitresses and waiters are students from Taylor's College and HELP College. All of them are so pretty. Their similarity is at the fairness of their skin and their perfect complexion. And most importantly, their passion for food can be felt when we waste the food here.l
