Ever since I laid eyes on this place, I couldn't help making a visit here. The ambience is amazing for hanging out with friends. There are cosy private rooms, with starry night shower curtains as the dividers and also cushions on the floor. I was so excited seeing the inviting open concept private rooms. There are also board games and also Jenga to be played. There are non-smoking and smoking zone.

At first, I thought the food at nice trendy places like this are more to the ambience and trend and design rather than focused on the food. But boy was I wrong!

The Deep Fried Abalone Mushrooms (RM 7.90) were amazing especially when sprinkled with chilli powder and also accompanied with a special Thai chilli sauce which is unlike any I have tried before.

The Mongolian Sauce Lamb Steak (RM 20.90) was the best choice I have made. The sauce is a mix of a little spicyness and very unique indeed. The steak is quite ok, and not too springy like rubber, the way other places make it. The best part is it is the most affordable and cheapest steak I have ever eaten.

The Polaris (RM 6.90) iced blended honeydew drink is not bad and it came with laici. I preferred this than the Planet (RM 6.90) bluish iced blended drink which was too blue and looks like there is a lot of colouring inside and had QQ balls inside.

I am definitely coming back to have a party or something like that next time.

The service is very good. The waiters will immediately attend to you the moment they hear the ring of the bell on the table.

Nippy Noodle Restaurant Smile Nov 03, 2014

I was having a fever and felt nauseous. I was clueless what to eat. The doctor told me not to eat anything spicy. Finally I decided on this cafe which sells the most amazing Bamboo Noodles.

My friend ordered the Mixed Pork Bamboo Noodles (RM 10.80). The variety of pork included roasted pork (char siew), roasted pork sausage (siew chee cheong).

I ordered the mushroom bamboo noodles (RM 6.80) which came with 4 big mushrooms. The noodles were served dry, in black sauce.

All the thin bamboo noodles were so smooth and were handmade. It really was tasty and was said to be without preservative or colouring.

We ordered a bowl of the best Sui Kow in the world for RM 8. Each sui kow was filled to the brim with a lot of filling especially crunchy prawns.

Humble Pie Smile Nov 03, 2014

Categories : Western variety | Café | Sweets/Snack

Ever since I heard an interview in BFM about how The Humble Pie was started, I have always wanted to come here and try the food but it seems that every time I make it here, the shop is either closed at night or in the day time.

This time, at 9.30 pm, I made it here but their kitchen was closed.  I could only order the pies in the freezer. I ordered the Mushroom Chicken pie (RM 20) reluctantly because I thought it would be like those we see in the bakeries. When the pie came, I discovered it was totally different as it came in a stew/soup form with a lot of tender chicken drumstick and mushrooms inside. The crust is very thin and not as flaky and fluffy as the ones we normally see.

The Green Apple Lychee Basil (RM 11) was quite tasty and not too sweet like the one at William's in Taman Megah. There is a big range of flavoured teas sold here and this happens to be one of the recommended ones.

The waiter also recommended me to try the Hot Earl Grey Chocolate (RM 10) which turned out to be the best hot chocolate I have ever laid my tongue in. The earl grey infused strongly into the chocolate and the chocolate was very thick.

Sopoong Korean Food  Smile Nov 03, 2014

Categories : Korean | Restaurant

It seems that I have tried all the food in Times Square and ran out of places to go today. After taking a round the place for 15 minutes, finally it was decided that Sopoong be it since there seemed to be quite a number of people there. The food is also halal. At the end of the meal, we realized that the owner is Korean.

We ordered the Kimchi Jeongol (Beef) Dubukku Hotpot at RM 38.90 which came with a lot of variety of Dubukku, rice cake, sausages, Kimchi cabbages, spring onions, tofu, straw mushrooms, Korean beancurd etc. The soup is just nice, and not too salty like what people usually do. There was also so much beef inside.

The Korean Rice Tea (RM 5.90) was served cold  with ginger inside.

I would definitely make a comeback here for the dubukku.

Basil Pasta Smile Oct 22, 2014

Categories : Italian | Restaurant | Pizza/Pasta

We chanced upon this in a blog and also last night when we were having supper in Kuchai Lama area. When we reached here on Sunday night, the place was brimming with so many people and they even had to wait for a table. Luckily someone just got off their table so we needn't wait for long.

We ordered the best Fettucine Steak (RM 18.90) with red wine infused inside. The fettucine was well done and the thinly sliced steak a little towards medium rare. The taste of the sauce cooked with small cubes of carrots and also potatoes were  amazing. The fat fettucine were perfectly integrated with the sauce.

The Fettucine Lamb Japanese Curry (RM 16.90) was so delicious. The curry was unlike the powdery version I tasted in Japanese restaurants. The fettucine was nicely and thickly and completely coated with the curry. There were also carrot and potato cubes cooked together with the sauce. The lamb is also so tender and tasty and not smelly.

The iced cubed Signature Basil (RM 7) with small bottle of soda was the best I have ever drank and the cheapest compared to places like Coffee Stain and also Coffee Societe at Publika. The basil was so fragrant and the drink totally refreshing.

The iced cubes containing Berry Strawberries (RM 7) was equally tasty. Perfecto!

The dessert is the best here and very affordable which explains the big crowd here. The Mille Feuille (RM 14.90) was five star dessert at a 2 star price, meaning affordable fine dining. These types of desserts usually costs at least RM 30-40 in other places. The mille is paper thin and coated with champagne. In between, it was sandwiched by fresh slices of strawberries and grapes. There is chocolate sauce on the plate.

The bottled iced green tea matcha (RM 9.90) is incredible. It was very thick and tasty even when I brought it to office.

The Chocolate Mousse (RM 5.90) is the best in the world, rich, sinful and with 3 small marshmallows inside. I am not a fan of mousse but this, is excusable.

Alright the food is so tasty that I even went to the open kitchen to praise the chef. Despite the open kitchen, the place is not smoky at all.

There is so much variety in the menu till I felt like ordering everything. Definitely making a comeback with my family.

The ambience is perfect and cosy. Very comfortable seating for waiting for table.

The most unique thing is that there is big range of hand soap to choose from, of all flavours from lavender to peach, lemon citrus etc so much so that I kept washing my hands.
