Fish Cake Soup Smile Sep 22, 2013   (Related Review)

Categories : Chinese | Restaurant | Noodles | Porridge

After nearly finishing my entire bowl of noodle, a small bowl of fish cake soup appear on our table. The waiter indicated that it was part of the signature mee pok set, and was apologetic since it came late. I didn't mind, as I wasn't expecting the soup at all. The soup has the sweet taste of fish in it, plus some MSG, which was expected. The slices of fish cakes were very nice, juicy and delectable. A piece of yau mak completes the bowl. Overall, a good partner to the bowl of signature mee pok.

Signature Mee Pok Smile Sep 22, 2013   (Related Review)

Since everyone was raving about Tang House Of Fishball's signature mee pok, I decided to give it a try. I was apprehensive at first, because it looked a lot like Hakka Mee, and I wasn't really a fan. Moreover, wifey promised to share with me since she wasn't ordering a main. When the noodles came, it looked quite mouthwatering, especially with the pieces of fried lard on top. There were also a generous portion of minced pork given. I mixed it all up, and had a taste. The noodles were done just nice, not too soft. The combination of minced pork, fried lard and lard oil made it all very delicious. After wifey had a few bites, I polished it off. Priced at RM6 per bowl, it was well worth the amount paid.

Mini Dumplings Smile Sep 22, 2013   (Related Review)

Wifey and I decided to order the mini dumplings again, however, this time we specified that we wanted the dumplings to be pan-fried longer till brown. The waiter was very oblinging, and when the dumplings came, we were happy to note that it was indeed browner than the ones we had in the Seapark branch. The skin also seemed thinner. The fillings were the same, juicy and delectable. We had a much better experience with this compared to the last time. Priced at RM6 for 8 pieces, it was well worth the amount paid.

Pineapple With Lemon OK Sep 22, 2013
Categories : Chinese | Restaurant | Noodles | Porridge

The pineapple with lemon in Tang House of Fishball was cited as a new offering. Since I didn't know what to order, I decided to have that, so that I would have something to chew on while waiting for my food. There were huge chunks of pinepples in the glass, though it tasted like it was from a can. There weren't much lemon taste, as the pineapple taste overpowered it. Priced at RM3 for a cold glass, it was a decent price to pay.

Mini Dumpling OK Sep 22, 2013   (Related Review)

Categories : Chinese | Restaurant | Noodles | Porridge

The mini dumpling, or gao zhi in Tang House of Fishball was just so-so. They do look pretty cute, small and we were able to eat one in a single mouthful. However, I thought that the skin was a bit thick. I would have preferred that pan-fry it longer to get the brown crispiness on the skin. Some vinegar and julienned ginger was given to complement the dumpling, but the ginger was quite meagre. The filling was OK, quite juicy but rather small. Priced at RM6 for 8 pieces, it was a decent amount to pay.
