I have always enjoyed jelly fish, and the jelly fish with conch meat in Tai Thong Odeon Restaurant is one of the better ones that I have had. The jelly fish was well marinated, sweet, spicy and sour all at the same time. The jelly fish was crunchy and slippery, definitely a very good appetiser. The conch meat was so-so, as I prefer abalone any time. Served with a dash of sesame seed on top, it is definitely recommended.

Deep Fried Prawn Roll Smile Sep 28, 2013   (Related Review)

At first glance, the deep fried prawn roll in Tai Thong Odeon Restaurant looks like any ordinary fried roll topped with some thousand island sauce. However, the first bite was pure deliciousness. The batter was very light and not oily at all. There were at least three pieces of big prawns encased in the rolls, and the thousand island sauce heightened the taste. Definitely recommended.

Siew Mai With Abalone Smile Sep 28, 2013   (Related Review)

The siew mai with abalone in Tai Thong Odeon Restaurant was very nice. The siew mai skin is thin, with a good amount of fish and pork paste encased in it. There was also a small piece of prawn hidden underneath. Very juicy and full of mouth-bounce. The abalone decorated on top was very delectable, even though it doesn't look like much. The sauce poured on top tasted a lot like abalone stock. Definitely recommended.

Kung Po Squid Smile Sep 28, 2013

The kung po squid in Tai Thong Odeon Restaurant is quite nice. The squid slices were tender and juicy, not overly chewy indicating that it was fresh. It is stir fried together with lots of ingredients such as dried chillies, onions, green and red bell peppers as well as a toss of cashew nuts. The brown sauce is spicy sweet and very delectable. Definitely recommended.

We were very excited to see the special dessert combination when it came. The presentation was very nice, colourful too. In the middle of the plate is the lotus paste flower. The skin is crispy and light, while the lotus paste filling was aplenty and slightly sweet. The other item adorning the side of the plates were corn look-a-likes, with red bean filling. The skin of the corn was chewy and cold, but the red bean filling was a bit dry. Overall quite acceptable.
