Pan Mee OK Sep 18, 2013   (Related Review)

One of my colleagues ordered the pan mee soup, pinched version. I thought some parts of the pinched noodle was undercooked, hence we were chewing on half-cooked dough. The soup was quite bland, and there were not much ingredients. There were bits of potato leaves, two pieces of fried foo chook, some minced meat, sliced mushrooms and fried anchovies. Priced at RM5 a bowl, it was a decent price to pay.

Pork Noodles Smile Sep 18, 2013   (Related Review)

Having to find a parking spot nearby Restoran North 28 is quite a challenge, especially just right when the kids are done with school. Anyhow, once we got a space to sit, I ordered the pork noodles, which will take quite a while to come due to the throng of customers. The pork noodles, or meen seen, is quite worth the wait. The broth is flavourful, full of porky taste. There were ingredients of minced pork, pork balls, liver and meat as well. Some yau mak for colouring. Definitely recommended, especially for the price tag of RM5.

Curry Laksa Smile Sep 18, 2013

The curry laksa in Ming Yang Restaurant is quite delicious. The noodles are well done, not too soft, while the curry gravy is flavourful. The santan and chilli combination is just right. There were plenty of ingredients as well. There was my favourite pig skin, tau pok, chicken chunks, long beans, and most importantly, cockles. Priced at RM5 per bowl, it was definitely well worth the amount paid.

Coffee Swiss Roll Smile Sep 17, 2013   (Related Review)

The colleague who bought me the swiss rolls also bought one for herself, a coffee flavoured one. The swiss roll has a nice patch of coffee bean as decoration, very creative indeed. The swiss roll had a good coffee aroma in it, apparent even before consuming. Sweet and decadent, it was most fluffy. Best eaten with a cup of hot tea. Definitely recommended for the sweet-toothed.

Pandan Swiss Roll Smile Sep 17, 2013   (Related Review)

The pandan swiss roll looks drab compared to the decorative chocolate swiss roll, but the taste does not lose out. The swiss roll has a good pandan flavour too it, not too sweet as well. I like the melt-in-your-mouth cream inside this pandan swiss roll. Fluffy and very delectable, it would make a good accompaniment to afternoon tea or a snack. Definitely recommended!
