We also bought some Hokkaido Milk Loaf, as it looked pretty interesting, and was rather soft to the touch. It was for our breakfast the next day. It comes in a whole loaf, so we had it cut it into slices ourselves. The texture was very soft, very similar to chiffon cake. I didn't taste much of milk in it, but the sweetness was just nice. We definitely enjoyed it very much. Priced at RM7, it wasn't the cheapest, but well worth the amount paid. I was feeling a little peckish due to light lunch. Wifey and I were in Paradigm, buying some groceries in Tesco. I decided to head over to Cake Sense to grab a bite while waiting for wifey to finish shopping. The parmesan sausage caught my eye, as I went into the shop. I decided to buy one, and it was a good choice. The bread was soft and fluffy, with bits of parmesan cheese on top, giving it a cheesy flavour. The sausage was a tad salty, but went well with the bread. Priced at RM2.60, it was a good snack indeed. Other Ratings:Taste 4 | Environment 3 | Service 3 | Clean 3 | Value for Money 3 Recommend 0 |
Couple of friends brought us to this restaurant, citing the deliciousness of their fare. We were very much in agreement, as we had become loyal customers of their Empire and Paradigm Mall branch. I ordered the spaghetti vongole, which was one of my favourite. I have only had local fare in Serai, so I was looking forward to trying different cuisines here. The vongole came quite fast. I thought that it was a bit dry at first, but the noodles were done well, quite al dente. Subsequent mouthfuls proved to be better. The clams that were used were really fresh, tender and juicy. It was slightly salty, and rather spicy, but I liked it all the same. There were some overcooked snow peas as decoration, but it didn't make a dent on the flavour of the dish. At a price tag of RM23, it doesn't come cheap, but definitely recommended. Other Ratings:Taste 4 | Environment 4 | Service 4 | Clean 4 | Value for Money 3 Recommend 0 |
I wanted to try their fish cake, tau kan and fu chuk set, but I know that I will not be able to finish it. Feeling greedy, I decided to order anyways, and tapau the leftovers if I cannot manage any more. The set came fairly quickly, and it was quite a huge portion. A whole piece of fishcake, cut into thin pieces, was juicy and delectable. The fu chuk roll had a generous amount of fish paste in it, fresh and delicious. The tau kan was fried to golden brown, crunchy and nice. Definitely a good ensemble. Priced at RM10, it was well worth the amount paid. Feeling lonely because wifey had to work over the weekend, I decided to wander around SS2 to see what choices were there for lunch. I stepped in Tang Pin Kitchen, and was surprised to see that the food was very similar to Tang House of Fishball. Seems that they were sister companies. So I sat down, and ordered a signature laksa, since it was proclaimed that it is a new offering. The laksa came, full of aroma. The noodles used were bee hoon, and it was done well, not too soft. There were loads of ingredients, such as slices of juicy fishcakes, delectable fish balls and a whole lot of julienned cucumbers which gave it a cleansing taste. I thought that it was a bit oily, but still acceptable. Priced at RM7, it was well worth the amount paid. Other Ratings:Taste 4 | Environment 4 | Service 3 | Clean 3 | Value for Money 3 Recommend 0 |
