Peanut Butter Toast OK Jul 24, 2013   (Related Review)

I am not a fan of Old Town White Coffee's peanut butter toast, as I find it a bit too dry. However, wifey loves peanut butter, and she simply adores the peanut butter toast in Old Town White Coffee. She ordered one, and pretty much finished the whole thing. The toast given is quite thick, and the top is slathered with a very generous amount of peanut butter. It was also drizzled with some condensed milk. It was quite sweet for my palate, so personally I don't really enjoy this.

Nasi Lemak Bungkus OK Jul 23, 2013   (Related Review)

Just before the Chelsea vs Harimau Malaya match last Sunday, wifey and I decided to have an early dinner so that we wouldn't need to be ripped off by the stalls in the stadium. Apparently no food is allowed in. So we went to Chawan to have some nasi lemak beforehand. I ordered the Nasi Lemak Bungkus, basically my staple meal there. It was slightly disappointing this time, as the rice seems to be very wet. It wasn't as well done to the normal standard. The sambal is spicy and good as usual. The ingredients of hard boiled egg, cucumber, fried peanuts and anchovies were top notch as expected.

Wifey ordered the gingo barley foochok dessert. It was quite nice, as it was sweetened just right. However, the lack of gingko and barley surprised me, as they used to have lots in a bowl. The foochok has understandably melted into the soup, and created a thickened consistency, which suited me just fine. Priced at RM1.80, I thought it was a bit expensive considering there weren't much ingredients in it.

Cendol Soya Freezy OK Jul 14, 2013   (Related Review)

I am a fan of soya bean juice. When I saw that Old Town White Coffee serves Cendol Soya Freezy, I decided to give it a try. Unfortunately I am a bit disappointed. The soya bean juice tasted rather artificial, and was way too sweet. The cendol itself was OK, although some became frozen due to the ice in the drink. Priced at RM7.90 a glass, it was decently priced, though I would probably stick to other drinks.

Char Koay Teow OK Jul 09, 2013

Categories : Chinese | Stall / Warung | Noodles

I was surprised to see a stall selling char koay teow, hidden at the end of the road in SS4 pasar malam. Since I had to tapau something back for mum-in-law, I decided to order a char koay teow for her. There weren't any options for the noodles, only koay teow with yellow noodle. Mum-in-law wasn't fussy, so I ordered a portion to go. The portion is rather small and it cost RM4.50. I thought the wok hei wasn't enough, although there were a decent portion of ingredients in it. There were some eggs, fish cakes, beansprouts and cockles. Mediocre, nothing to shout about.
