White Milk Tea Freezy Smile Jul 14, 2013   (Related Review)

Wifey ordered the white milk tea freezy as she didn't want to have coffee. The white milk tea freezy in Old Town White Coffee is surprisingly good, even though they pride themselves on coffee based beverages. The milk tea is quite rich, and not too sweet. Wifey didn't like the cream, so we asked them not to put any

. Priced at RM8.30, it was a bit expensive but well worth the amount paid.

Enrich Chocolate Smile Jul 14, 2013   (Related Review)

Since I didn't really enjoy my Cendol Soya Freezy, I decided to get another drink, favourite Enrich Chocolate. As usual, it doesn't disappoint. The glass is full of chocolate-y goodness. It can be a bit sweet for some, but I like it that way. The best thing to do is to let the ice melt a bit before consuming. This drink is definitely very addictive, and I can consume two glass at one go if I choose to.

Nasi Lemak Sambal Sotong Smile Jul 14, 2013

A couple of friends decided that we should head over to a new place for yum cha. We decided to go over to Oasis Square to patron the Old Town White Coffee to hang out. The place there is quite nice, with some fountains. The Old Town White Coffee itself is a standalone building, with ground floor and first floor. Apparently there is also some karaoke rooms on top, but we didn't visit that. We ordered, and as usual, the service was really quick. Since I was feeling a little peckish, I decided to order the nasi lemak sambal sotong. The portion is decent, just right for me. The rice is warm and fluffy. There were plenty of ingredients of sliced cucumbers, fried peanuts as well as anchovies. The portion of sambal sotong wasn't a lot, but it was sufficient. Definitely a good snack.

Sugarcane juice Smile Jul 07, 2013

While walking in the pasar malam being wifey's porter, I was feeling thirsty hence I headed towards the stall selling sugarcane juice. The stall owner just finished squeezing a round of sugarcane, so I was pretty sure I'm getting a fresh bottle. So I decided to buy two bottles. One to have now, and another to bring back home. Priced at RM2.20 a bottle. the juice was pure bliss. It was very sweet. If I didn't see the squeezing process, I would have thought that they added sugar, but no, this is the real deal. Definitely most recommended!

We wanted something green, and the waiter recommended us the stir-fried kai lan with salted fish. Since we didn't want anything spicy, we agreed. The kai lan was fried full of wok hei, and it was definitely very fresh, crunchy to the last bite. There were some salted fish in it, though I thought it was too coarsely chopped, but it was still OK. Priced at RM10, it was quite well worth the amount paid.
