Kimchi Jiigae Smile Sep 16, 2013   (Related Review)

My personal favourite star of the evening. Hot piping spicy Kimchi Jjigae, mixed with Korean sticky rice, awesome mouth watering meal on a cold evening. Loved the spiciness, sourness, the excitement when I eat rice along with the soup. However, this Kimchi Jjigae has a thicker and richer texture compared to many other Korean restaurant's that I've tried. Conclusion, absolutely love it; also my main reason for having 6 servings of rice.

Herbal Soups Smile Sep 16, 2013   (Related Review)

The one thing that I really like about this restaurant was the soup. Soups here are served in tea pots which was something a little different. There were 3 types of tea presented to us and I have to say, all of them tasted really good. They were rich in flavour and aromatic. The best part, it wasn't diluted. If only they served us more of those soups, we will be really happy.

Swiss Piggy (Improved) Smile Sep 16, 2013

This had taken us by surprise. I will be honest here, I wasn't expecting this much of an improvement. The only reason why I decided to come back was because of the Goliath Challenge introduced by SpicySharon.

Anyway, the burger taste really good now. Although they were using their backup buns because their regular charcoal buns were sold out, it was still rather soft and fluffy. It may have looked cheap but it didn't taste cheap. The old Swiss Piggy used to be dry and flavourless, the new one has some kind of 'mushroom carbonara' sauce on top which gave it flavour and made it moist. The caramelized onions was alot better than before as well. Patty was great and well seasoned. If I'm not mistaken, they've also included pickles in there. Overall, really loved it.

Snowskin Mooncake Smile Sep 16, 2013   (Related Review)

I really do hate mooncakes. I somehow do not fancy them even though they are tradition. I find them really hard to eat with very predictable flavours. Its the same thing every year. Having said that, the mooncakes here were simply delicious. It was light and has that melt-in-your-mouth skin with very little egg yolk. The paste wasn't as sticky nor dense like most of the mooncake I've tried. Personally, I do not love it, but I dont hate it. So I believe that is pretty good.

The Hakka Braised Pork belly was just simply amazing. It was soft, tender and flavourful. The pork also has a certain percentage of fatty layer which was good. Adding on to their home-made "mantao" along with some lettuce, gravy and crushed peanuts (If I'm not mistaken), it was delightful. You could say that one was simply not enough. Overall, really did love it.
