Tokyo Kitchen Special Roll Smile Aug 27, 2013

This could possibly be one of the best dish they served us. The signature Tokyo Kitchen Special Roll. Ingredients are fried Tiger Prawn, Unagi, MANGO (yes mango) topped with their unique peanut sauce. I was surprised at the fact they put mango and peanut together. I mean, it would taste weird no doubt, but for this plate of awesomeness, it was purely awesome. And that is alot of awesomeness in an awesome. Awesomeception! I think the price is RM19.80, I'm not really sure. But it should be around there. Awesomely recommended! =D

The open face shrimp sandwich is something I wasn't daring enough to try till now. Possibly because the shrimp looked a bit scary. So yeah, I've finally tried it and I have to say I loved it. I do not know why I was that stupid to order this when I was younger but anywho, better late then never.

The shrimps were cold and really juicy. The lettuce was used to hold the entire thing together along with some mayonnaise and egg below. Both the mayonnaise and egg were a great compliment to the shrimps, packing more flavours into it. Which that rich and creamy taste, a slice of lemon and some cucumber was used to tone it down. Not that much, but definitely a difference. The entire thing was then placed on top of a square bread. Lovely!

This was one of my favorites. The interesting choice of including cornflakes in a burger may sound redundant but the results was surprising. Like usual, it has grilled patty, beef bacon, relish, Provolone cheese and caramelized onions. This was one of the most flavourful burgers I've had in KGB. The patty was grilled nicely and the beef bacon was crispy and salty. The relish gave it a slight tangy taste and the cheese had a smokey taste. The caramelized onions, average. The cornflakes brought the texture to another level.

Seoul Burger Smile Jul 25, 2013

An integrated Korean-like burger. Parmcrusted chicken, fried egg, kimchi mayo and kimchi. Something different from regular burgers I believe. KGB's buns were rather unique, they have a stamp on top saying "KGB". On the other hand, the bun was soft as well, the only problem was there was a little too much butter. The kimchi and kimchi mayo gave a little sweet and sour kick whilst uplifting extra lightness to it. The chicken was fried quite nicely; good crust.

Possibly one of the best dessert I've ever had. If you're a fan of durian, this is the dessert for you. Durian ice cream, crepe layer pastry, cornflakes and a certain syrup was fantastic. It literally was the bomb/orgasm in my mouth. Lovely mix of flavours. The durian ice cream was really rich and smooth, the crepe was soft and manage to hold the flavours of the durian really well and the cornflakes gave it that extra crunch you have to love. Overall, fantastic!
