Awesome burgers  Smile Aug 13, 2013   (Related Review)

Touched by the Japanese fusion here is the Pioneer. At RM 17 for an ala carte, you get the usual pork patty with mild cheddar cheese, sliced cabbage, tobiko, crab sticks, and the pimento sauce. I am impress with how they keep they put in so much effort to work on burgers only so to meet that consistency as well as the top quality ingredients that were used. Totally gourmet and they mix all their sauces in the house so you probably won’t get the sauce sauce anywhere else. I’m quite impressed with the Pimento sauce and I thought it was a brilliant flavour to go with the crabsticks and tobiko.

Then there is the irresistibly sinful genius called the Burgertory Treassure which sells at RM 13 (ala carte) is a must have for pork lovers. Who could have guessed that the crispy pork lards would give us such sensation of flavour combustion, especially with the melted mild Cheddar cheese.

I really like the pork patties at the Burgertory and the creativity is something interesting at the same time with a size that isn’t too absurd to consume even though the bread has got some room for improvements. So the burgers are good to go with ala carte with prices starting from RM 12 and the normal combo of fries and free flow of soft drink would require another RM 5. What we had was the Burgertory Fry Combo that comes with fries, onion rings, cheese stick and free flow soft drinks which costs RM 9.

The Moo CLassic is this perfect sized burger with a thick beef patty that is super juicy and delicious when topped with melting Italian blue cheese.

With few new items like the Swine Belly Salad, the free calories that comes with it is totally worth even if you have to do another 10 laps extra when swimming. There could still be some rooms for improvements on their bun but the dizzying array of burgers toppings on those generous patties warrants a return at anytime.

Don't forget to take a moment and appreciate some of those hand works there in this burger joint.

Gourmet burger @ burgertory Smile Aug 13, 2013

Take some time to appreciate the art work at this place but also embrace for the ‘wow factor’ after the entire D.I.Y concept. Starting with the Caramelised onion Burger at RM 13, it comes with mild Cheddar cheese & homemade brown onions on their amazing patty. Something that is sufficiently satisfying for regular burger.

Then there is the Bacon and cheese plus+ at RM 24, it comes with the double cheddar cheese and the double pork patties, as well as double pork bacon as topping. The patty was thick and moist, and has a great mix of flavour on top of a good texture which is enjoyably stunning when biting and chewing. Each bite is filled with juicy meat with tasty flavour and awesome sauce to go with the fries and onion rings. And let’s not forget the mozzarella cheese stick and their free flow of soft drinks. This is called the Bugertory Combo. Something you’ll get on top of your ala carte burger with an add on of RM 9.

Too much? Then let’s down size that to half with the Swine bacon and cheese for RM 16. Comes with mild cheddar cheese and pork bacon, I feel so much better thinking I won’t have to add on some more time to my regular cardio workout session.

Then there is the Beef cheese fondue that sells at RM 18.50 for ala carte burger and the patty comes from 100% grass fed beef. Something that is just nice in portion, and simple enough to savour the tasty burger on its own without any fancy toppings.

Taking about fancy toppings, you’ll find yourself shrooming after the Shrooming Bull at RM 15.50 (ala carte). On top of the beef patty, there is mild cheddar cheese with button mushroom for a different combination of flavour.

Or catch some smoke with the Burgertory Hot Smoke at RM 15 (ala carte). Served in closed packaged, there is supposedly smoke coming out when unwrapping it but I couldn’t catch the smoke on picture.

It is served with homemade BBQ sauce and montary jack cheese. The BBQ sauce is almost overpowering the cheese but it still contributes the milky flavour to tone it down pleasantly.

Burgers definitely aren’t oriental but with a touch of creativity with some asian flavours, we get the Mascarpone Curry and Cheese at RM 15 (ala carte) and you get layers and layers of local favourites. On top of the premium pork patty, there is mild cheddar cheese, fried egg, onion rings, and the lovely mascarpone curry sauce. Every bite is flavoured with curry and the combination of those with the fried egg, tasted real curry puff-ish to me.

Genius to be opening the third outlet at the Paradigm mall, D’italiane is performing well so far with the availability of parking bay at the mall, and very beautiful interior furniture. The seats are nicely arranged with many choices of sofa, high chairs, cushion stools and others to provide more options for dinners. There are indoor dining and outdoor for smokers or if you just enjoy natural breezes.

The Prawn Avocado makes a great starter at Rm 19 with delicious leafs in very thoughtful sizes making eating very easy and comfortable. It would be nice if there is more avocado in it. Mainly because I really love avocado, and also don’t forget the vinegar in the balsamic dressing that is absolutely appetizing.

When eating salads for mains, toss in some meat source and viola, something healthy and delicious for the main course. The Sicilian Chicken serves at RM 26. This one has lovely grapes and once again, in thoughtful bite sizes.

The Apple and Pecan Strudel with Vanilla Ice Cream is deliciously sweet but not too relenting dulcified thanks to the vanilla ice cream. Selling at Rm19, the strudels are soft and the pecan contributes to a great buttery flavour and apple would is sweet with very mild sour hence making this dish irresistibly unstoppable when digging in.

A cup of hot tea after dinner is and will always be really comforting. The Earl Grey Classic Tea sells at RM 9.

Bamboo Noodle Smile Aug 13, 2013
Categories : Chinese | Restaurant | Noodles

According to the Nippy Noodle, the bamboo noodles originated from China during the early 1990’s in the province of Guang Zhao, Hong Kong and some parts of Asia. Traditional method of making noodles have long been forgotten as the traditional methods has given way to the modern machines. Here at the Nippy’s noodles, they claimed to go back to the heyday where bamboo noodles is the old description for the wanton noodles.

Premium Flour and omega eggs are combined to make their noodles perfect without addition of other forms of liquids. This gives better aroma and fresh eggs to the noodles also gives a great flavour.

Many important things are taken in to consideration in making their noodles. Things like the size of bamboo where it has to be the right diameter contributes to making good noodles, neither too hard nor soft. According to them ancient Chinese Kitchens makes noodles comprises of 36 skills. Making bamboo noodles is one of these skills.

Having said that, the restaurant is designed in a way where they exhibit the making of the noodles inside a glass room. If you are waiting for any bamboo action, sorry to disappoint you but there are no bamboo in it. Instead, expect some shinny machines and a couple of staffs weighing the noodles.

The noodles are still great; with superior texture one would enjoy chewing it. On top of that, the meats are sufficiently tasty to warrant a return to the restaurant. The roasted and barbeque pork is nicely sliced to the right proportion and all of it done to the right texture that is not only luscious but juicy at the same time.

There are few combinations or types of porks or wanton whichever is your preference. Nippy noodle promises that all their products are made passionately and detailed. The prices range from RM 5 to 10 depending on what’s ordered.

Categories : Korean | Restaurant | BBQ

Whenever visiting this place in a big group, don't forget to go for the Chicken Okonomi Yaki. This Japanese Pizza with lots of bonito shavings, nori flakes, and bbq sauce sells at a reasonable price of RM 16.90. And trust me when I say this, better have more than 3 pax to order this if this dish is add on dish. See the size of it next to my camera lense cap.
