Warung is authentically the type of business run casually by family selling mainly few authentic Malay dishes and snacks while some also offer snacks, candy, drinks and cigarette etc.Nowadays, most warungs are in shop lots. So is this one. The maggi mee goreng warung style is different from mamak style because this one is slightly more moist with excess gravy and coating. Also less wok heat in the noodle.

The choices of varieties are so wide sometimes it is so difficult to make the right choice when looking at all the pretty desserts. The safest option is the chocolate flavoured pastry. The triplets (choco cream puffs) sells at Rm 3.90 and the cream filling is generously rich. The fillings are generous, so it is sufficient to have just three at a go.

Yam rice is beautifully fused with aroma of yam and when cooking yam with rice, yam would coat the rice grain making the rice slightly more textured and delicious. I feel the rice portion is a little small but eating with the dishes which rotates on daily basis would be good.

Pumpkin with minced pork is tasty and great to go with rice or porridge. I like having this with porridge and most dishes here are slightly a little salty so you’ll probably end up having more porridge or rice. But pumpkin itself is slightly sweet so the saltiness only comes from the minced pork.

Mini sizes mee jawa for tea time is a brilliant idea. I love the size, and the fact that the whole lime included. The juice from the lime is great because it brings out the flavour of the noodle making it more savoury. And half a hard boil egg in the thick gravy is beautiful. I love the sprinkle of roasted ground peanuts on it. Gives a marvelous texture and fragrant aroma. Comes with a drink, this tea time deal is my latest favourite.
