Wat tan hor Smile Dec 17, 2013   (Related Review)

Categories : Chinese | Kopitiam

The only thing I really hate when eating wat tan hor is the pieces of burnt wok removed from the wok or the charred from the wok inside the noodles. Feels disgusted to swallow all that into the stomach. This one here is awesome because they are superbly clean. But that doesn't mean it lack wok heat. Wok heat is still there an the gravy is really smooth. Much to my liking.

Char Kuey Tiao Smile Dec 17, 2013   (Related Review)

Char Kuey tiao!!!! My favourite. Here has got pretty awesome char kuey tiao. Like most char kuey tiao in Melaka, this one also served with sweet sauce. Chili is optional, but I like the original with no chili added to it. This one here has a lot of taugeh in it, so every bite is awesome. Don't forget the delicious cockles.

Tai pau Smile Dec 17, 2013

Categories : Chinese | Kopitiam | Dim sum

Tai pau here is not that 'tai' actually. If I can finish it, anyone should be able to finish it. I love how the portion is not too huge so we'll have space for other dim sums as well. lol The seating is not too great, with tables and chairs by the roadside under a big tree. Having said that, it is sufficiently comfortable and suitable for comfy meal.

Mc Egg Deluxe Smile Dec 17, 2013
Categories : Western variety | Restaurant | Burgers / Sandwiches | Halal

Mc Egg Deluxe is basically the deluxe version of the simple Mc Egg we all remember from our childhood memories. I remember really well that Mc Egg was the cheapest burger on the McDonalds menu and it was most popular amongst kids. Parents probably feel that it was the healthiest choice. I can still recall the flavour of Mc Egg and what makes it so good is the whole slice of cheese nicely melted on the egg in between the buns. If I am not mistaken, back then when the Mc Egg is still on their menu, it was only sold as ala carte item. What’s funny is, not every outlet have this.

Butter garlic mussels Smile Dec 17, 2013

Categories : Western variety | Restaurant | Pizza/Pasta | Seafood | Halal

The last time I visited the Manhattan Fish Market was almost two years back. I had such a bad experience in the Subang Parade outlet it traumatized me so badly that I find myself real reluctant to go back again. Recently , I decided to overcome the phobia and gave them another chance. I went to the outlet in Sunway Pyramid instead. In terms of the space and the layout of the restaurant, I prefer the one in Subang Parade probably because they have more space when compared to the outlet in Sunway Pyramid. Also the first has got a higher ceiling compared to the later and that contributes quite a bit to the illustration of space.
As for the food, awesome is the only word to describe this garlic butter mussels. The thick gravy was delicious and perfectly complimenting the mussels.
