Sloppy mango crepe Cry Dec 16, 2013

Categories : Japanese | Café | Juices / Bubble Tea / Tea / Yogurt

Recently reviewing some restaurants around this area got me stopping by my latest ochado addiction here at the sri petaling for dessert after my reviews. I was impressed with the relaxing layout of this outlet. Breezy and spacious with chic design of lounges as well as tables and chairs to chill and chat over some delicious drinks and perhaps few slices of mille crepe layer cakes.

Having tried two flavours of their cakes, I am motivated to want to try more flavours of their mille crepe layer cakes. It was rather late and all they have left is the mango flavour, which apparently I learnt that they only have four flaovurs in total. I already tried the mango flavour and didn’t quite had a good impression at it but it was a kill joy to not order any cake slices when I am already mentally prepared to have some crepe cakes. So I went ahead and ordered their mango slice anyway. The mango crepe is once again mushy like the first experience that I had. The funny thing is that I experienced the same texture in mango flavour only. I suppose the mango flavours are the only crepe layer which fails to fix as a sturdy slice of cake.

Bandung Cry Dec 16, 2013   (Related Review)

Seriously, what can go wrong with bandung ya? I like bandung whenever I have something with intense flavour because then the sweet finishing will complete the meal, leading to definite satisfaction. The bandung here however, was quite a dissapointment because it was really diluted when I ordered it. And for the price of RM 2.90, I would expect a good bandung if not the best. I'll remember to order this in mamak instead.

Pear Juice Cry Dec 14, 2013

Categories : Stall / Warung | Ice Cream / Froyo / Gelato

They said the Japanese makes everything fine and delicate. I somewhat agree to this when it comes to Japanese sweet cuisine. All the way from the taste and flavours to the presentation and effort in decorating each dessert, definitely blow my mind away. And that I am referring to the desserts in the Hokkaido ice cream at the paradigm mall. Being one of the few dessert shops in the paradigm mall, and located at the middle of the walkway in the mall, this dessert booth is more than just eye catching and stands out within the area. With the signature design of a built-in tree all the way right to the ceiling of the mall and creating the illustration of dining under a big tree, this place is lovely for the quick sugar replenish when shopping at the mall, or simply when pampering you with some beautiful desserts after meals. The pear juice sells pretty decently at RM 8 each, but given the rate of oxidation of the fruit, this is a bad choice for fruit juices

Chrysanthemum tea Cry Dec 12, 2013

Categories : Chinese | Restaurant | Dim sum

Whenever I felt like I couldn’t think of what to eat on Sundays, the standard answer is Dim Sum. This is my second post on Dim Sum but I have much that has yet to be published. To be very honest, I do fancy Dim Sum a lot, probably the same reason why I adore Japanese Sushi. It must be due to the wide array of varieties offered in most Dim Sum place. But even that is subjective for that only applies if you manage to go early. For one like me…..that is almost impossible. So by now, I am already rather familiar with where to go for Dim Sum whenever feeling like having it at any odd hour of the day. Especially during the night, when the weather is cooling, it is awesome to just chill with friends over some nice hot tea. My favourite is Chrysanthemum but I should warn you guys that the Chrysanthemum tea here is always weird tasting. Definitely not to my liking.

One thing I noticed is that they are not very good with anything deep fried. The scallop red snapper fish and those fried sotong just couldn’t make it to my standards. And they aren’t sky high. The both was kind of over fried a little so it is somewhat a little dry. It was quite a waste given the freshness of the seafood. The fish was really sweet but really dry when over fried. Same goes with their sotong. sad
