char koay teow OK Apr 10, 2013

Categories : Chinese | Stall / Warung | Noodles

this stall is located at taman berjaya ( some people call the place as pasar pagi which means the morning market ). there are many stalls at that place selling different kind of foods, one of it is char koay teow. the important thing to make the char koay teow tastes better is not to be too oily. luckily this stall's char kuey teow still considered as okay. they also sell fried indonesia mee. i never tried before so maybe i will try out next time. overall it is just okay, nothing special.

i tried the nasi lemak so now it is time to talk about nasi ayam. actually there are many stalls selling nasi ayam ( chicken rice ) in almost every kopitiam. there are no much difference if you want to compare with each other. normally the chicken tastes the same, for me i prefer drumstick and not breast meat. the only thing that can differentiate whether the chicken rice tastes good or not is their sauce. once the sauce meet your requirement, then the chicken rice will tastes delicious. the price normally range from rm5 - 7.

it is a typical chinese style kopitiam. it has a variety of stalls selling different types of food for you to choose. normally people came here for breakfast before they start their busy day. i ordered a cup of hot milo and a bowl of noodle which i have forgotten what is the name for my breakfast. the hot milo is a little bit too sweet compared to other kopitiam. but overall it is ok. the price is cheap too. the noodle is just normal, nothing special.

what makes you think of when you come to northern of malaysia? for me i would probably think of spicy food, one of it would definitely be tomyam! i am a spicy- lover but unfortunately i can't really take spicy food. i love to try tomyam and laksa around northern malaysia. this is one of all that i had tried out and the taste considered as okay. but for me it is not sour enough. the price is quite cheap too. it has many types of ingredients can add in too.

when eat wanna eat nasi lemak at a really cheap price, this is the place you should think of. the rice smells good and tastes different due to its banana leaf. the chicken is crunchy outside and soft inside. the chicken is freshly fried and from far you can smell of it. although the environment is not that nice but it is a surely affordable place for you to fulfill your stomach.
