Did I mention about the variety of keropok/ chips serves in Hotel Istana?
It was really really GOOD. I TOOK LIKE 4 rounds just for the Papadam Chips.
The one showed in the picture was chips with spice. It is a famous food in Indian culture and tastes really good and addictive! By means of addictive, it carry the meaning of non-stop eating that chips and keep asking for more.

If you happen to go there for a meal, do left some space for chips. You will not mind that tiny calories.

Seriously, I had never tasted any nice vegetarian buffets in hotel. In my memory, those hotel gave me an impression of 'commercial' vegetarian food i.e, taste is not up to standard

For the buffet here in Hotel Istana, I went for a second round in their vegetarian curry chicken. It was really good!
The curry powder smell was strong and taste just nice. However, it is a bit salty and since I like salty food, I love the curry. For me, in a curry, the most important thing is the thickness of curry, curry smell and saltiness.

Besides, the mushroom like abalone was good in texture, so chewy and QQ.
I just love everything there!

Dry Bak Kut Teh Smile Jul 10, 2013   (Related Review)

In the this seafood bak kut teh restaurant, they do serve dry bak kut teh.
It is rather nice and juicy. Not too dry, meats are tender. The whole pot of dry bak kut teh seems like a pot of thick soy sauce braised chicken, but equally nice I would say.

bowl With a bowl of rice, the whole combination gave you satisfaction.

Ambient of the restaurant is not appealing, just a corner chinese restaurant in a village in Sepang. People and services are friendly and good though.

Acme Bar & Coffee (known as ABC in short) is a perfect vintage western restaurant located in the Troika, Jalan Binjai, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The breathtaking interior designs gave a fusion of European vintage environment with a tad bit of city bar stunning style in the restaurant itself. It is one of the higher tier cafe in my list which gave you a money-worthy satisfaction after the dinner yet bonus point lusting in the nice ambient. Extra relaxation after work, awesome.

Wine first before meal, isn't it a good habit or bad?
With their wine quality, you would not mind spending for a sip.

If you want a casual discussion or a cup of coffee to ponder the meaning of life, you can have it outside of the restaurant. Which I would do that because they have comfort sofa bench as well as stylish chairs that gave addition points in the whole combination.

If you are well dressed and prefer a cozy dining, yes, you may merge into the vintage land in one of the corner inside the restaurant. Do remind yourself not to fell asleep in the cozy corner after the dinner. During night time, the light will be dim which created a romantic yet extra casual ambient in ABC. Couple of people will be spending their time catching up after dinner, do make sure you make your appointment before it's too late.

Menu that 'bloom' into you. I went there during the last spring so their menu was in spring design (Malaysia has no spring but that was spring season for your information). For your information, ABC has a well-designed menu each seasons! Since it is summer now, they have their awesome menu in summer style. You may log on to their website to see the menu, or click here for your reference. http://acmebarcoffee.com/food-menu/ Menu is organized and tempting with the description below each food.

*sorry for the overexposed picture, I was too anticipated to taste this appetizer and did not retake a better picture.
This is Lamb Kofta Sticks, serves as appetizer. It is pan-seared with pomegranate mint yoghurt that gave you a mix of salt and sour sensation. Lamb is fine and tender, it is not too dry or I can say it is still juicy even after fried. For people that wish for a sip of wine and finger food with a little chit chat, this can be your choice as well. Or for lady that is afraid calories or is on diet, why not giving this a try instead of just pure salad?

This is Smoked Salmon Wheatberry Salad. A bed of salad in balsamic dressing with Norwegian Salmon. With the balsamic dressing, this is simply delightful! Salmon is fresh and sweet. The presentation of the whole set is rather good and appetizing.

Lastly, Pan-Seared Mullet Fish Fillet. The fish fillet is slightly dipped in the truffle of parsley arrancini & bouillabaisse sauce, not too salty but above average. Three parsley arrancini will be served in this meal, it was fantastic! We were asking if they do serve parsley arrancini alone as finger foods but sadly no. Since they do not serve parsley arrancini alone, it will be too much for me to have two set of mullet fish fillet and I've decided to save it for the next meal. Apart from this, heard that they are famous with their smoked duck breast pasta, rigatoni puttanesca pasta, grilled fillet of ostrich etc

Overall, I love this restaurant! Not just of the foods and wine but ambient and services were all great. In my opinion, they do have the quality to be recommended to everyone.

Seafood Bak Kut Teh Smile Jul 09, 2013

mad lollollol

Sepang is located at the southern part of the state of Selangor in Malaysia. It is famous for beach activities away from the hectic city of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Went for a getaway and food hunting around that area. After survey with the local people, we found Yikee Seafood Bak Kut Teh Restaurant. It is actually a small restaurant and doesn't look impressive. But seriously, I have never taste any bak kut teh in seafood and I was so anticipated for the bak kut teh!!!

The soup is not that thick but just nice. The taste is so sweet that came from prawns. Meats are tender and juicy!
Went with the family and prawn/seafood lovers was giving good compliment whereas those that did not take prawns in liking, just gave me a 'so-so' face. Personally, even I am not a prawn lover, but I couldn't help myself from drinking the soup and the seafood + meat inside! They have squid, prawns, meats etc

I miss this pot of awesome seafood bak kut teh!! Can somebody fly me there for lunch? tongue
This is really recommended dish for bak kut teh lover, something different but equally AWESOME.
