Nasi lemak with fried chicken OK Sep 26, 2013

Categories : Malaysian variety | Restaurant | Noodles | Nasi Lemak

Restaurant BRJ is famous for their nasi lemak.
It came with a big piece of fried chicken, sunny-side up egg on the rice, sambal/chili paste and some fried peanuts and cucumber. The rice here is really nice, fragrant-wise it has slight pandan smell and just up to the standard of what it should be. The most important thing to look into for nice nasi lemak is their sambal. Sambal here is not too spicy but salty more then sweet (some shop has a sambal that tastes sweet which is not my preference).

Chicken satay OK Sep 26, 2013

Chicken satay for tea time anyone?
Colleagues took away some hot chicken satay from Kajang. As you know, Kajang is famous for satay in Malaysia and that the satay from this restaurant is nice. Everything is up to the standard. For foreigner, satay is a kind of charcoal grilled meat on a bamboo stick, serves as local food in Malaysia. On top of the satay, people will put some honey and prior to the grill, there will be some marination of the meat. Satay here is nice, meat tender and succulent.

Ying yong kuey teow in Cozy House Restaurant is ok. Never thought there offer large range of menu from tom yum fried rice, fried kuey teow to western food. Ying yong kuey teow has ingredients like prawns, crab stick, vegetables etc Broth of the ying yong is something important. The broth here is thick but not salty. Kuey teow was fried before adding the egg thick broth. Overall ok.

Fried chicken here is tasty!!
It was eaten with rice or just snacks for fried chicken lover. It was marinated till well absorb and that the smell of this spiced fried chicken is stronger and nicer. If you are the person who loves fried chicken skin, this is for you too. The chicken skin was fried to perfection and it was really crispy. Not really oily but just nice.

Tom Yum Fried Rice Smile Sep 26, 2013

I am not sure about others but I always go Cozy Restaurant for this tom yum fried rice!
It came in rather bigger portion than any other fried rice out there. For a plate of tom yum fried rice, you will get few pieces of fried chicken, cucumber and chips. Taste wise, tomyum taste is still alright, not too spicy or oily. Rice are intact and fried rice has ingredients of green peas and carrots cube. Recommended.
