Yong Tau Foo OK Sep 29, 2013
Categories : Chinese | Restaurant | Yong Tau Fu

Ampang yong tau foo is one of the famous food in Kuala Lumpur. The yong tau foo here normally eats with chee chiong fan or just eat like this with sweet black sauce. In Johor, yong tau foo normally eat with noodles, rice or mihun. Served more like a soup for the noodles. But Ampang yong tau foo normally eat alone with the sweet sauce. Taste wise, this branch has a rather nicer homemade yong tau foo that gives flexible chewy texture yet not too oily like other yong tau foo. Overall ok.

Iced chocolate OK Sep 29, 2013

Morning is best starts with an energitic/ awesome sip of iced chocolate or coffee. Since San Francisco Coffee cafe is just somewhere near to my office, I went and buy this to start of a beautiful Wednesday. I love how SF cafe has a thick thick chocolate, regardless of the iced or hot, it will still maintained the 'thickness' of the chocolate. Iced chocolate from here is thick and sweet.

Satay_Chicken_Beef OK Sep 29, 2013

Hanis satay is one of the famous satay stall in Ampang. Ordered both chicken and beef satay. As usual it came with slices of cucumber, onions, and ketupat (wrapped rice) that I had ordered. Both of the meats were well marinated before baked. Chicken satay was slightly sweet because it was baked with honey spread on it,meat was succulent and tasty! Beef satay is more chewable, meat is flexible and smell really nice.

Stir-Fried Celery OK Sep 29, 2013   (Related Review)

Back in the past, I am the person who will not eat celery or drink the juice. But recently, I have no idea why but celery became one of my favour vegetables from economy rice stall. Celery is one of the nutritional vege that doctor recommended to everyone. It lowers the blood pressure naturally and contains high level of calcium, magnesium etc. Taste wise, this stir-fried celery is not salty, just nice and the celery is not hard but chewy.

Stir-fried mixed vegetables with potatoes. It looks like it was cooked with curry base but no, it was stir-fried with some black sauce (I have no idea). Not spicy at all. The potatoes were soft and nice. Carrots weren't hard as well. Black fungus gave the extra textures to the whole dish. Best to eat with rice. Slightly salty. Something worth trying if you like potatoes and black fungus.
