Kimchi soup rice set Smile Sep 20, 2013

Kimchi soup rice set from Sopoong restaurant in Berjaya Times Square. Opened by native Korean that stayed in Malaysia.
I love this restaurant! Kimchi soup is so thick and nice! Totally up to the standard with their price offered. Kimchi soup is not too sour here and the spiciness is average. It came with one bowl of hot plain rice and three side dishes. Homemade kimchi side dish is really well marinated. Totally worth coming for a meal. Price wise this is reasonable or even lower than normal korean restaurant.

I love japanese curry here in Rakuzen. In a bowl of curry katsu rice, it was full of carrots, potatoes and of course, the fried chicken (katsu) topped with curry gravy. Money worthy meal with big portion. The presentation of the food is good and appetizing. Curry gravy is not too salty. Just nice to eat with. Chicken meat is not fried to oily but crunchy. Overall this is good.

Pork Ramen Smile Aug 31, 2013

Menya Musashi is a famous Japanese restaurant in Kuala Lumpur town. It serves the best ramen broth ever! Order pork ramen without egg. It was SoOOOOOOOOO good! The pork ramen came with big slice of pork on top of the ramen. The ramen broth was so thick and sprinkled with spring onions. Taste wise it is reasonable salty and tasted really good. One pull back of the ramen is that the soup is slightly oily. The rest ok and handmade noodles were chewy and nice.

What is a must eat dish when you are in Taiwan?
LU ROU FAN (Braised mince pork rice) !!!!!

It is awesome to know that we can eat it even here in Malaysia. Braised pork rice here is really tasty. The braised pork is cut in such a way it is minced. Meat used was three layers fat meats that makes the whole texture great melting in your mouth. It will normally be served as a topping on a bowl of rice. Price is cheap yet taste is so good. For your information, it is supposed to be oily braised. So if you are not someone that eat fat pork, think twice.

:bowchopstickl:

Sashimi alone is awesome but when it comes with a bowl of rice, OMG DOUBLE AWESOMENESS.

Rakuzen has this set of sashimi rice and it tasted okay. tongue
I will prefer a thicker sashimi anyway. This is just too thin slices for me. sad

However, their sashimi quite fresh. Consider nice just that slices are too thin *hehehe greedy monster
They have quite a lot of set meals with reasonable price.

Even the location is not so strategic but i will go back again!
