watami Smile Jan 27, 2012

I like to dine at Watami for their affordable prices and variety dishes. To keep me return is their courteous services and dinning atmosphere. Have been patronised their other outlets, no disappointment though.

My friend and I decided to settle down at ion's watami for lunch as it has a special lunch promotion. I ordered the prawn lunch set while my friend ordered the pork lunch set which comes along with salad, miso soup and drink. Salad was served earlier as the appetizer and it tasted pretty good as I'm not a salad lover.

ikea ! Smile Jan 23, 2012

Had something light at Ikea cafe after window shopping at Ikea. Not because of hungry, because I was craving for the meatballs and cakes!!

The classic SWEDISH MEATBALL *highly recommended*

This is the must order dish when you go to Ikea Cafe. As you scroll down you will see reviews all about this dish. The meat balls were succulent and juicy and well marinated. It was finely blended so it was tender and the fibre were fine. The sauce was nice too, tasted nice with the meat balls, and the powder version of the sauce were sold at the counter there so you could make your own! Potato was a lil' hard in the centre but it's still okay with the sauce. The raspberry jam given was nice with fresh raspberry fruits inside.

Dark chocolate cake

The dark chocolate was very nice, i like the percent of sweetness. No bitter taste but not too sweet. There is some small chunks of nuts in it which added some crunchy texture to the cake and make the overall not plain. The big piece of this dark chocolate cake just made my day.

Daim cake
Awesome cake too. The top most layer was milk chocolate instead of dark chocolate. So it was a bit more sweet than the dark chocolate cake but the sweetness is still acceptable. This is just awesome when you have the cake with a cup of hot coffee in the rainy weather.

Marche Smile Jan 23, 2012

Love Marche! I think their environment and ambience is wonderful! Makes me want to go back again to sit back, relax and enjoy their food.

They have an unique way of ordering and paying.. Upon entering, you will be given a card, you buy food with the card and the price of the food will be charge into the card. When you're leaving, you give the card to the cashier and you pay there. Tada.

Black forest ham crepe
Nice crepe. The chef always don't fail to make perfect crepe skin. And the ham, cheese and vege used was in generous amount.

Chicken & Vege Cream Spaghetti

Awesome Spaghetti !! the sauce is so creamy and I can taste that the cream is fresh. Inside there is a lot of Chicken meat, mushroom, and asparagus. The spaghetti is al dente, not too soft. And the pasta is served hot so it is still hot after finished. This is very important coz creamy spaghetti is too bad when cooled. The creamy flavour remained in my mouth for more than 1 hour. I just cant resist the smell and gonna go back to Marche soon.

fish head noodle Smile Jun 23, 2012

Win Soon cafe is a shop located at Kuchai Lama food paradise, over there are a lot of nice food restaurant or cafe or shop kiosk to be choose from, so the parking lots are also comparably insufficient. This cafe is quite crowded during peak hour, and a lot of youngster loves to dine here despite of old people.

Anyway among all the competitors, i still love to eat at Win soon cafe, the fish head noodle is awesome! I simply love the soup broth, it's so tasty with the seafood flavours. The menu is quite extensive, they are few kinds of noodle, the soup and fried one, and the ingredient will be different depends on which one you order. The environment is okay, and the staff is approachable, maybe due to it wasn't the peak time when I get there.

This one i ordered is their first food in menu, which is their signature fish head noodle (RM8.80 if I'm not mistaken). The soup is still so nice, added with the skimmed milk, it is even more creamy and flavourful. The fish head is fried, and although it's only RM8.50, i'm impressed by the portion and the freshness of the fish pieces, and it's not only bones, but the meat are big in piece too. I love eating the fish skin a lot, it's fried with batter and soaked in soup, so the skin has absorbed the sweetness of the soup, and became soft but chewy. The noodle is beehoon, springy and chewy, and I almost had every spoonful of noodle accompanied with soup. So in the end the whole bowl of soup is finished by me. XD Those who dont know how to eat fish head or lazy to fight against all the fish bones can order their fish paste noodle and the fish paste is just like fishballs, but firmer and fresher. Anyway i do enjoy having the fish head, as i prefer the fresh fish than fish paste, and i would nicely and elegantly placed the bones on the plates provided.

Okay this review may be too long but I'm doing my best to recall because I would not like to miss out anything to share out as this fish head noodle is really a must-try.

mango Smile Jul 20, 2012

The menu was quite intensive, with choices for both hot or cold for some of their desserts. Prices were also considered quite reasonable. Come all the way, of course it's a MUST to try their mango triple awesome dessert which is their mango pamelo sago, mango cheese cake and mango ice cream. I feel happier after eating, perhaps cause I like sweet stuffs and desert makes me happy. Overall we had a satifying fill of dessert.
