Raspberry Ripe

Raspberry Ripe

This was my first time trying Raspberry Ripe. If I were to choose a juice, usually I go for smoothies with yoghurt, because I feel it is value for money. When you tell me it is chocolate with raspberries, in my mind I would be thinking antioxidants! All the more I would love to try this. I was told it is sweet but having a sweet tooth, it is totally not a problem for me.

The texture of smoothies was perfect. Soft, creamy, and filling smile The flavour was just the right level of sweetness, with a hint of chocolate and less of raspberries. Every slurp was a less sinful indulgence when it was packed with antioxidants and live cultures!

Smooth and Creamy Ice Cream Smile May 05, 2012

Nocciola and Dolce Latte

Nocciola and Dolce Latte

It was my first time trying this ice cream. Seriously it was so good! Creamy and soft to the max and very unique flavor.

Basically, dolce latte is caramel ice cream, while nocciola is hazelnut ice cream. As expected, dolce latte was very sweet by itself, but when combined with nocciola, the balance was achieved. Nocciola was not too bad on its own too but definitely not dolce latte unless you really want all the kick of sweetness!

You can ask to combine both flavors into one and pay for a cup of ice cream. Though the ice cream cup was very small but they filled it double the size of the cup, very very value for money. In fact it is cheaper than Baskin Robbins and so much excitement lol

Hot and soupy beef noodle Smile Mar 16, 2012

Categories : Chinese | Food court | Noodles

Located right in the Lot 10 Hutong food court, its quality does not show any compromise. It tasted exactly the same as the original shop at Jalan T.S. Lee.

Hot and peppery soup, loaded with considerable amount of beef, and beef balls, it was just the right thing to have for dinner on this particular Monday.

The soup was alright, the balls were bouncy and the beef was so smooth that I can just slurp it in. What a satisfaction!

Of course that alone wouldn't be sufficient, I had this noodle, which was like kon lo mee with minced beef and few choy sam as topping. The noodle was cooked well, a little al dente, just how I like it. The minced beef was indeed a necessary go with it.

Note: Best to order the set which has the noodle with soup, loaded with awesome goodness!

Sweet and eggy morning at Ben's Smile Mar 14, 2012

Categories : Western variety | Restaurant

You know sometimes when you wake up in the morning, you just feel like having western breakfast? It was the reason why we were at Ben's GFS at this particular weekend morning to have Ben's breakfast!
Mexicana baked eggs

Mexicana baked eggs

The portion was alittle small. Put aside the white toasted bread which was nothing spectacular, the baked eggs looked very scrumptious: the runny egg yolks, the grilled chicken, capsicum, mashed kidney beans, jalapeño, avocado-feta mash, sour cream.

The rendition was indeed an enlightening one. it was almost perfect, the eggs was half baked, the chicken was juicy and soft, the capsicum, kidney beans, jalapeño was contributing much to the enhancement of texture; the avocado-feta mash and sour cream added another dimension of flavor. It was very interesting.
Banana, chocolate & mascarpone

Banana, chocolate & mascarpone

This came first though. It was good, but I prefer it alittle sweeter, and more texturized with more honeycomb crumbs! The bread was crispy on the outside, soft in the inside, the bananas went very well with the generous amount of chocolate sauce. I liked this, and my boyfriend loved this!

Recommended Dish(es):  Mexican baked eggs; Pear, chocolate and mascarpone toast with honeycomb crumbs

Spending per head: Approximately RM20

I have a sweet tooth ever since I was young. I love chocolate, and desserts; not so much on sweets. Waffles is no doubt a good choice, the only thing is where to find a good one?

I love my waffle crispy and not soggy in few seconds. I love my waffle to be filled with lotsa filling or topped with gracious topping. Now, I know where to find!

Tuesdays is Gelaré's half price day for waffle. Instead of paying RM11.95 for waffle with cream and sauce, you have to pay RM5.95 only! I had my waffle with this dark chocolate ice cream and chocolate sauce as topping instead.

The waffle was perfect for me, super crispy, and hot. The ice cream was so fudge like and thick. I simply love the combination. Make sure you have both ice cream and waffle together, mixed it with the Hershey chocolate sauce too!
