Black Sesame FTW Smile Mar 13, 2012

Categories : Taiwanese | Stall / Warung | Desserts

I have heard alot about Snowflakes, good things of course! Being a snowflake virgin, my boyfriend brought me to this nearest snowflakes in Kota Damansara. We ordered this Black sesame sensation, wihch was the monthly special at that point of time.

Peanut ice base, topped with black sesame ono, every scoop into the black sesame sensation was great! Even when you eat the ice base alone, it was good enough; when you eat with the toppings, it would give you more complexity of flavor, which I love it overall.

Siew Yok that melts in your mouth Smile Mar 12, 2012

Categories : Malaysian variety | Restaurant | Noodles

I love siew yok and char siew ever since I was young. However, I like mine lean, maybe a little fatter but not the whole layer of visible fat. I have not found the perfect siew yok, not until the day my boyfriend brought me here.

Proud of its signature Kuala Lipis noodle, I cared lesser for the noodle but more for the siew yok. The siew yok is by far the BEST I have tried in my life! Topped with crispy layer of skin, the meat, intertwined with fat, was heavenly done. The moment I placed it in my mouth, it just fell off before I even try to chew it, with almost no resistance. I was shocked, then delighted, I think my mom is going to love this!

A healthier lifestyle Smile Jan 31, 2012

It is quite a hard task to find a good salad place as it is either unbalanced or not as healthy as you think due to the mayo that they put inside.

Not until I stumbled across this Salad bar which has a good selection of salads that cater for the vegetable you or balanced me.

My favorite salad is Spicy salad, as it is balanced well with big chunks of spicy teriyaki chicken and a generous amount of chili and balsamic vinegar. I like the sourish flavor of the dressing very much.

They have different types of soup, for example, cauliflower, corn, pumpkin, mushroom of which all are pretty decent. I love how the blended ingredients enhance the texture of the soup. You can add salt and pepper according to your own taste bud.

Last but not least, the yoghurt is simply awesome! They make their own yoghurt, and nothing like those Nestle yoghurt you can buy off the shelf. I like the natural flavor of the yoghurt, topped with grapes and drizzled with honey (as much as you would like). This is the healthy dessert for girls lol

Moo Cow is here in One Utama! Smile Jan 14, 2012

Working next to One World Hotel and One Utama can be considered a blessing, I think. We can have lunches in One Utama, without having to walk under the sun, and have alot of restaurants to decide which to eat.

The day itself I realised Moo Cow was here in One Utama, I was no doubt happy about it! Now, I can have it for lunches lol Crazy idea It works for me though.

I persuaded my colleagues to have Moo Cow with me, and she said "YES"! Holy shit, I was so happy that I just couldn't wait for the next day to come.

After trying all the flavors they have, she told "Thanks for introducing me the nice froyo! I like it man". See, I told you, it is nice...

She settled on dragonfruit flavor froyo, which was RM10.90, without any free topping. Flavor wise it still retained the sourish taste, which I love it superbly, and a little sweeter due to the dragonfruit. It wasn't bad but I wanted my free topping so I decided against it. As usual, one Original yoghurt with Hershey chocolate sauce please! lol me was a happy girl!

Awesome lamb balls Smile Jan 11, 2012

Categories : Western variety | Restaurant

This was not my first visit to Ben's GFS. It is a good place for salad and pizzas, and their mains are not as bad too! Boyfriend always loves to go Ben's because dining for both of us would rarely reach RM50.

This round we decided to order one mains for each of us. He picked his lasagna with soba salad and I ordered lamb balls with orecchiette.

The last I tried, I love this! I tried again this time, it was still awesomely good!
It was tender, chunky and not gamy. On top of all, it was super juicy!
You might think 5 lamb balls would not be sufficient to go with the pasta, but it was just nice.

Flavorful, filling and cheap!

Recommended Dish(es):  Lasagna,soba salad,lamb balls
