Fried Rice

Fried Rice

Perhaps I could do a better job than this. Compared to many hawker stalls in various places, no places did as bad as this. The rice was fluffy (okay); the long beans was cooked (thank goodness); the eggs was so pitiful (seemed like an egg for two big bowls of rice); the prawns were not fresh (gameyyy!); last but not least, bland (OMG, how could a restaurant this HUGE cooked such a bad fried rice?). THE END.

Fettucini with salmon in tomato cream sauce

Fettucini with salmon in tomato cream sauce

I must say this fresh pasta was very very good in terms of texture; it was not too chewy like the dry pasta and it was cooked al dente. What sold me off was salmon in tomato cream sauce. My friend who tried this with me did agree that the gravy was superb and lovely! Simply love the tomato cream sauce but the salmon wasn't too fresh. It was such a shame to a nicely done pasta.

Steamed Vegetable Roll with Rice Skin

Steamed Vegetable Roll with Rice Skin

Some believe that mild dish is healthier. Well, they could be right, as the usage of MSG or similar might be reduced. However as much as I believe in healthy diet, flavor shouldn't be something to be compromised. This rice roll was a rather mild dish. The rice skin was see through, which was good. However, flavor wise, the filling was too mild to be appealing but the use of soy sauce did help.
 Steamed Vegetable Dumpling with Pumpkin

The presentation looked very good but it was very mild and the thick layer of crystal skin did not appeal to me. Prefer the filling to be more flavorful instead.

Deep Fried Mango Prawn

Deep Fried Mango Prawn

The idea was interesting I must say. Flavor wise, it was not so ideal as I could taste the prawn and mango separately due to uneven distribution. Prawn was artificially made fresh, the mango wasn't too good after being cooked. Crispy but fillings wasn't that good. [RM3]
Steamed Bean Curd Skin Roll with Oyster Sauce

Steamed Bean Curd Skin Roll with Oyster Sauce

Nothing special about this dish. Just like normal fu chuk with fillings, or yong tau fu. Predictable and nothing to shout about. [RM3]

Rice Roll with Char Siew

Rice Roll with Char Siew

The filling of char siew was so pathetically scanty that it was just not worth the money. The rice roll was rough and tasteless. Worse than eating normal chee cheong fun.
Dumpling

The fillings was visible, which was a good indication. However the skin was thick and rubbery as if I were eating plastic. *faint*
Century Egg Porridge

Century Egg Porridge

As much as I thought it would be at least salty, it was not salty at all. In fact, it seemed to me the chef forgot about the salt.
