crispy shrimp rice bowl Smile Jun 01, 2013

This is a return visit to the outlet. The restaurant has quite a open concept whereby the tables are laid out without any dividers and you can see the entire floor plan just by looking up. This greatly allows the staffs to see any raised hand & will quickly attend to us. lol

Crispy Shrimp Rice Bowl.
We were not hungry so we just ordered one main to share. The portion is very generous. There were mixed vegetables, onions and crispy shrimp mixed in tartar sauce. I feel that the sour tartar sauce overpowered the flavour of the shrimp. sad Would be better if they either serve the sauce separately or just drizzle sauces like black pepper or mushroom sauce.

Overall, the experience of the lunch was pleasant. I'll be back to try their other signature dishes and new promotions rolled out frequently..smile

The food was so memorable that I had to bring my entire family to try it!! They were impressed by the decoration & setting of the restaurant. They were surprised that the price is quite reasonable given the posh-ness of the interior. As mentioned, don't judge the book by its cover.
Moreover, we saw Chew Chor Meng with his family dining there too.. Wishing lobang king a speedy recovery & hope to see him on screen again soon.. =)

This time, I ordered the chicken & pork shabu set with miso soup base & rice. As usual, it comes with a generous portion of meat on top of a generous portion of vegetables. The rice was soft & fragrant.
Towards the end, when I've cooked all the ingredients, I added the wafu sauce (sesame seed) to add more flavour.

Dessert is served..

Wildberry Panna Cotta.
I just wish the serving portion is as generous as the shabu set as this milk-based dessert is so smooth. The restaurant is currently having a 50% off for selected dessert. Not sure when it will end though..

Went for dinner with my boyfriend and friend. The store front & decorations looks very grand. When I walked in, I even wonder if I brought enough money to pay my bill. :/ However, the price on the menu is pretty reasonable.

Some photos we took after we ordered our food..

My food came. Shabu-Shabu Beef

You can choose your main. Dong fen, rice, or noodle. Look at the amount of beef & vege! Soup is refillable. One downside it that the soup boil very slowly.. It is a pain when you are super hungry and waiting to eat. The beef is thinly sliced and very tender. Put it into the soup and very quickly you can eat it. They also have a table to sauce for you to eat with your meal.

We ended off our dinner with creme brulee.

It wasn't as what I expected sad Would like the top to be more caramelized. But, still acceptable.

I'll definitely be back to try other food.

Went to this outlet as my husband and I saw that the bubble tea is having a buy 1 get 1 free promotion. However, this only applies to selected drinks (except winter melon). Service is very fast and staffs as friendly and patient while waiting for us to decide on our orders. smile
chingcha & red tea

chingcha & red tea.
I like the taste of chingcha. It is not bitter and not as sweet tasting at red tea. It also leaves a sweet tingle on your tongue after drinking. Hmm...
The aunty at the store said that Ching cha is semi-fermented tea - between green tea (young) & red tea (old). Not sure how true is it.. I couldn't find any info on it on the internet.. :/
mee sua

mee sua

We ordered the buy 1 get 2nd bowl at 50% off vegetarian mee sua. Portion is generous & there are quite alot of ingredients in it. Personally, I prefer my mee sua with more vinegar which the aunty gladly added more. smile

I'll be back to try their other bubble teas flavours..
