Chilis Empire Experience Cry Jan 29, 2012

Categories : Western variety | Bar & Pub | Steaks / Chops | Seafood | Burgers / Sandwiches

Being a fan of American food, one of the places I definitely is Chili's Empire.

First of all, let me tell you - go during weekends (and Friday nights) at your own risk - the place is pretty packed! which is horrible sad I waited more than 40 minutes before my family and I were seated.

A little bit about the food.

Quisedillas were fair. This was with chicken slices , around RM40 or so (without chicken slices is around RM33 if I'm not mistaken.

Pan fried meat (Cant remember the name) was properly done. taste was ok.

Beef burger was nice and succulent.

Lamb chop was fine, but the grilled vegetables weren't fresh, and the broccoli was yellow sad

I ordered lamb shoulder, a 200g piece. Inside was raw,so I asked them to redo it for me. Much (maybe 20mins - 1/2 hr later) they returned it, and it was tougher outside, and still raw inside! sad

Even though the food was ok tasting, you gotta remember Chili's is an expensive place, and my parents and I vowed never to go back there. Chili's Bangsar is soooo much better.

Sigh, wasted a night. Would I recommend it I'll say go for the bangsar village 1, much much better.

Spending per head: Approximately RM50

Wang Jin Pan Mee OK Jul 11, 2012
Categories : Chinese | Restaurant | Noodles

Wang Jin pan mee has a simple interior, but staff are attentive enough for my preference.

The simple but air conditioned interior(important ok! can eat in comfort)

This is their golden pumpkin pan mee, traditional style. While I can't say there was much difference between normal pan mee and this "pumpkin" pan mee (RM0.50 Extra), the pan mee was average tasting, with your normal vege, ikan bilis and the likes. The soup was not too saltish, and the ingredients was ok, but nothing to shout about.

Share Tea @ IOI Mall OK Jul 11, 2012

Categories : Taiwanese | Stall / Warung | Juices / Bubble Tea / Tea / Yogurt

Share Tea is the newest (one of the newest) members to add on to the beverages specialist bandwagon. I must say they are equally good, if not better.

The shop at IOI Mall.

This is the classic milk tea (With red tea) and pearls by share tea, its RM5.90 for the small cup. I chose less sugar and less ice, 80% sugar was still a little too sweet for me. The red tea was nice, not too milky that it is overwhelming. The sago / pearls are always nice, and was chewy and sticky, the way pearls are smile

Snogurt OK Jul 11, 2012
Categories : Western variety | Café | Ice Cream / Froyo / Gelato

FROYO! Its so famous that handphone developers decided to in cooperate the name into their android systems.

This is snogurt at SS15, very, very near taylors. Their "big cups" are deceptively big to suck you money! Each cup cost RM21. Crazy right? The chocolate tasted nice, with chocolate sprinkling on the top making a nice condiment to go along. The vanilla was classic as well, and conservatives will never go wrong with the classic taste of vanilla.

The pineapple and apple taste(the green and yellow one) tasted slightly weird, probably because I'm not used to other flavours. It was sweet but the taste was not the same as fruit, somehow. I'll probably go for more well known brands next time...

Mr Teppanyaki OK Jun 24, 2012
Categories : Japanese | Restaurant | Seafood

Mr Teppanyaki to me is an affordable place for decent asian dishes. Not really japanese (if it were trying to be).

Tom yam chicken soup and plain white rice. Rice portion is adequate, tom yam soup is nice, not too spicy. Chicken pieces fair.

Some pot-cooked meat and vege with rice. Normal, nothing special, just like the taste at home. Vegetables amount was ok.

Wa tan hor style fried rice. Portion not a lot , but fairly tasty. The shop is nearly bare at times, so customer service is still ok.
