Chicken Rice Smile Feb 23, 2013

This humble place has a very nice chicken rice stall. Located right next to komtar, many people work there will come here for their lunch. The chicken rice here is big in pieces and also the meat is very soft and tender. Besides that the saltiness in the chicken taste very nice. I like their oil rice here because the rice won't say too over moisture or too dry to eat.

Good snacks Smile Feb 23, 2013

Talking about penang local snacks, I think no one can forget about their famous loh bak. Loh bak is best to share with few people so that you can order few to eat together. I like to order their tao kua, taiwanese sausage, fu zok and also loh bak. Then they will deep fried in and later serve you a braised sauce. The sauce is similar to lor mee sauce. You dip your loh bak in the sauce and eat.

Koay teow soup Smile Feb 23, 2013

I like the koay teow soup over here. The koay teow soup in this stall, serves a very clear soup base of koay teow. There are chicken slices on top of them. The soup taste a bit salty mixtured with some sweetness. This dish look very simple. But what I think it makes it different from other stalls is the way you prepare for the soup. This dish is really simple but not simple at all.

Char koay teow Smile Feb 23, 2013

Char Koay Teow is one of the most remarkable penang food. You can find this almost every where in every penang corner. Able to find anywhere is easy, but to locate one that is really good, is another problem. This stall serves a quite god fried koay teow. I always ask them not to put in cockles and it doesn't affect the taste of the koay teow at all. The koay teow still taste very nice to eat.

poh piah Smile Feb 23, 2013

To know how popular this popiah stall is, you can just simply look at how many newspaper has covered about this stalls. The owner has pasted it in his stalls so everyone able to see how well it is. The popiah here is simply delicious. It looks similar to any popiah out there. But I think what makes it totally different is the inside of the popiah. This popiah is more crispy.
