I remember once when I was young, my parents took me on a trip to Penang. During that trip, we stopped by a Thai-Buddhist looking temple. Like everywhere else in Malaysia, I remember it being a really sunny and hot day. Not knowing anything like any other grumpy kid, I threw a fit (nobody knows why). So, my dad took me to a side and we saw this man selling some ice cream with nuts on it in a cone. My dad took me over to the stand and got me some ice cream, maybe to improve my mood. And OMG, it was the first time in my life that I had tasted something so amazing! Coconut ice cream! Mind you, I am a huge fan of anything coconut. Coconut flesh, coconut water, nasi lemak, santan anything, what more coconut ice cream?! It was such a pleasure to find out later on that this chain of ice cream shops, Sangkaya had opened in Subang, Sunway Pyramid, Sri Petaling and later Bandar Puteri. Much happiness had I felt. Sangkaya in Sri Petaling and Bandar Puteri have really nice interior. Very mod yet a sligh balinese feel? The ice cream is served in either a cup, cone (forgot), and an empty coconut shell. Obviously, the empty coconut shell one is the best for photography for social media *wink* *wink*. Here's the thing, if you are not a big fan of super creAmy ice creams, do not fear the coconut ice cream here, it's not the sickeningly sweet type of milky ice cream. Just try it and I trust you wil, like me, have the same kind of love for Sangkaya. Also, they offer a rather wide range of toppings, I personally prefer the dried shredded coconut and nut toppings. Love bread? Love coffe? Love waffles? Have no where to go? Maybe try Le Pont? Le Pont is a bakery-cafe place located on Old Klang Road near the Elken Head Quarters. I first heard of Le Pont from a friend whose mothers works in Elken. Figures right? I mean who'd be able to see this porsh cafe from the main road? Unless, you're the super alert to road signs kind of person. Le Pont is a very nice and chill kind of place to hang out at if you are into that kind of stuff. Mind you, Le Pont is kind of actually there to serve most of the office staff around the area. Unlike other places, Le Pont has designated their ground level for those who'd wish to just buy bread or wish to just get a to-go cup of coffee... Explains why I see it as they cater to the office crowd, right? On the second floor, here's where you get more of a cafe-restaurant like feel rather than a bakery-cafe feel like if you were to go to Tous Les Jours (the korean bakery cafe). When I said that they catered to the office crowd, you'd imagine them selling drinks and food at rip-off price, right? Well, you aren't entirely Wrong. The food and beverages here aren't exactly the cheapest around, neither is it the most expensive. But, for the quality of the food the offer, the pricing is definitely all right. For drinks, what's special here is their different varieties of flavored lattes. I'm a big fan of Chai Latte (which is like not common in Malaysian cafes ) but since they didn't have chai latte, I, with the suggestion of my friend, decided to get their rose latte which was AMAZING although I'd bet it is mostly rose flavored syrup. But it is a must try, the taste is simply devine. As for food, their bakery breads aren't that bad, limited selection though. Here, you MUST order their waffles. Their waffles here are amazing. If you visit this place, look to your left and right and you'll see that waffles are what the regulars here order. So, if you aren't for an afternoon chit chat session with a friend, come try out this place!!! Recommended Dish(es):

We've always heard of dog cafes that are very hip in Japan and South Korea. As a Malaysian, it is very rare to even see peop visiting restaurants with their pet dogs because a LOT of us would probably think that it is the most unhygienic thing ever! I would bet both you and I have had the same thoughts before,no matter how big of a dog lover I am, no matter if I have 2 dogs at home. It is still unhygienic. But yay!! There is now a dog cafe in Malaysia situated in puchong. Seriously, puchong is becoming a more 'HiP' area with all these hipster cafes opening just like in subang. I personally didn't think much of this place before I visited. In fact, it was my friend who prompted me to visit bow wow by inviting me out for a afternoon coffee session. You can see for yourself in the images below that the interior and furnishing here is very modern and edgy, which gives off a very clean type of feeling. Here's the thing, they have a few signature?? dogs here... Like that pug who is now super famous on social media. Then again, customers are also allowed to bring their own pets here to interact with other pets. Fear not when it comes to hygiene, the visiting dogs are required to wear dog diapers. There are even toilets for dogs who are potty trained. Well, enough said about the dogs there. Let's move onto beverage? Because I didn't really order any food there. Their beverages weren't all that bad. In fact, their chocolate milk shake was really really concentrated, so much that I needed extra ice inside and wait for it to melt so the drink would be diluted. Their coffees are not like super amazing, they are nice but not something I would go back there to because of a craving. Moving on to pricing, if you are on a budget, this is probably the least likeliest place you'd want to visit. Unless you are on a weird budget where you can afford to spend nearly 20 bucks on just a drink. But, if you are here, decide to just try it out? Then go ahead, it will be a totally different cafe experience. Who knows? Maybe the food here is really great. Maybe you'd fall for the cuteness of that dog? Just go try it out for yourself

If Walnut Café Bar is full and packed; don’t be upset. There is another recommended café just beside it which is Miss Coffee & Toast. I simply like the atmosphere; it is quite classy and simple nice with their own diy table decoration. Yellow light bulbs make the eating environment feel cozy and relax. While waiting the food serving, you can have some photos taking with their diy deco or the symbolic wall. My friend and I just ordered a strawberry cream waffle and a soya drink as we have a sudden date to here. These two foods and drink are just below RM30 if I did not mistaken. Strawberry cream waffle – rm18 and I don’t remember how much was the soya drink. I suggested soya drink as it is quite refreshing for the entire hot day. The waffle is made on the spot after you ordered so when the huge ice cream scope pours on it……. The ice cream will immediately start melting. Therefore, you have to quickly capture the best condition of the waffles before the ice cream melt around the waffles. For a reminder, if you want to have your brunch around 11am, there will be some special food deals with a free tea or coffee on weekdays.

Moonlight Cake House finally have a branch @ Puchong area. So, this would be a new place for people to hangout until late night. Moonlight sells breads, cake and coffee downstairs and dine-in area is at the upstairs. There is a lot of sits for people to choose, see either they want to sit near to the window or a cozy sofa to enjoy their food. My friend and I decided to have a lunch and start our revision for exam at this new place. Flip through their menu….. so many things I wanted to eat….. but all foods and drinks are too pricey…. At last, we picked the quite cheap food – baked cheese black pepper rice and baked cheese tomato rice as we both are 100% cheese lover. Luckily, the food I ordered did not upset me; it came in a big bowl and cover with a thick layer of cheese. The price range for these two dishes is just around RM13-RM15. It can be counted as the cheapest food from the menu. I also suggest that pasta lover can try out there creamy carbonara with a half boiled egg on top of it. Tell you all secretly that there is a way to save up your money on the drink, you can get a cup of FREE water from the diamond water filter machine. One last thing to tell, there is no wifi service @ this branch so this part is quite make me upset. However, we cantry to think at the bright side. We come out to hang out with friend to chitchat not to scroll our social media in front them. Supplementary Information: Don't order drink and get diamond water for free Recommended Dish(es):
