Juicy Patties! Smile Mar 23, 2016

The Fat Boy Burger Bar serves one of the most succulent patty in the town, and has wide selections of specialities that serve different kind of taste buds. The place is pretty hipster, resembles the diners in overseas. I was amazed by the whole lists of burgers that offer and each of the selections is so tempting, and it would be so hard for me to pick a choice. Not forgetting that the place is non-Halal, as they serve pork patties. The descriptions on each item, never fail to make you hesitate, well, you can always pay more visit to the place to try on all their variations! Also, you get to build your very own kind of burger as well!

The Classic Royale was classically simple and good, without any fancy condiments but just onion marmalade and cheese, it taste really good! This good-old not so adventurous kinda combination, fits eaters who love being classical. smile

The portion is rather huge for me, yet I would stuff myself to finish all of it because it's good!

As for the Jamaican Me Hungry, the sundried tomatoes are the little things that made me go crazy over it.  I really love the slight roasted flavour and acidity that they implies. It definitely complement and brings up the overall taste of the burger. Yum! Not to forget, I like how thick the steak fries are, but the amount of the fries could be a little bit more, haha! In general, I find the price of the burger is quite reasonable, for such a big portion of burger like that, and the ingredients used is definitely worth the price.

Beautiful Toast! Smile Mar 23, 2016

The place where everyone talks about it, worth a try nonetheless, regardless you like it or not. Being one of the pioneer of the Japanese Thick Toast, Haraju Cube attracts dessert lovers to its well decorated and topped dessert Thick Toast, where the people are willing to que up for it!

Thank God, we went there on a decent Thursday morning, where there’s no crowd at all, and we get to enjoy or desserts without interruption. My friends and I had Fruitition, basically a scoop of ice cream, and topped with generous amount of berries on a thick buttered thick toast, truly amazing!

Anyhow, I was kinda annoyed seeing people cutting of the sides of the bread and leaving the brown bread skin behind just because they are too hard to be consumed. I personally think that's a problem that needed to be solves to prevent wastage. We also had the Haraju-Milk, tasted somewhat like Yakult but more milky flavour and tasted creamier.

The concept of doing this is kinda impressive, though many times I think to myself that we can even make our own at home 😂😂😂😂 In fact, I guess what makes the difference is that, the combination of the flavours with the toast are delicious and also the effort to plate the toasts are no doubt, very nicely done.

Another Place for Good Gelato! Smile Mar 23, 2016

Every Sundae serves their ice cream with lots of toppings, sauces and condiments which make your gelato personalized. They do have several choices where they have already made up for you, just in case you don’t like to think too much, you can always opt for the pre-planned suggestions the shop have.

Well, if you really wanna go slightly more adventurous by building your own gelato tower, that will be great! Well, it would definitely cost a little bit more expensive, but yeah, you get your very own gelato tower with all your favourites condiments in one, so why not?

What really made me happy was the cotton candy cloud! That is truly, very instagram worthy, beautiful round scoop of ice cream topped on waffles pieces, and surrounded by cloudy cotton candy! How adorable! The Match gelato tasted authentic, but I would really love it to be a little more tannic, as in, more of the bitterness and the tea-ish flavour in it instead of the milky flavour. As for the salted caramel gelato, I could hardly taste the saltiness, perhaps it may be the compote that overpowered the flavour. But nonetheless, both the gelato has really smooth and creamy texture, but it could be denser, Haha!
I guess the gelatos are not meant for photos I suppose, as it melts really fast, so better think of your pose or what not, before the gelato arrives!

Awesome food with great portion! Smile Mar 22, 2016

The shop located in one of the corners Setiawalk has always caught my attention with its beautiful outlook. It is a contemporary fusion restaurant that serves wide varieties of dishes including both Asian and Western Cuisine, from appetizers to desserts.

The portion of the food is rather satisfying frankly speaking. I personally love the pesto pasta they serve, and the amount of food makes it a good brunch, to accommodate for both lunch and dinner! Haha! Pesto with its distinctive fragrant from basil and pine nuts simply toasted and blended with olive oil to bring out the earthy aroma. The vivid green al dente pasta topped with nicely charred grilled chicken chop, the meal looks pretty appetizing.

The Deep Fried Chicken Parmigiana is being portioned with a balance of protein, starch and vegetables. The crispy golden brown chicken was served with fragrant oil-tossed pasta and salad to balance off the robust flavour from the protein. The chicken is juicy, and the tomato sauce cuts off the excessive fattiness and richness mouthfeel and flavour from the cheese; everything goes well in one plate. Olala!

We would love to end our meal with a small slice of cake and have decided to try on this Chocolate Moist Cake. The cake was rich and smooth without being excessively sweet, and the slight bitterness from cocoa was on point to give you a slight twist in the overall sensation!
Last but not least, the interior of the place is very simple yet elegant, definitely a good place to hang out with family and friends, and you wish to look for affordable food at the same time! Thus, don't hesitate to bring over big group of people to dine in, and I'm pretty the varieties will serve people with different preferences.

Scrumptious Big Pizza! Smile Mar 22, 2016

Categories : Italian | Restaurant | Pizza/Pasta

Pizzaaa! My all-time favourite comfort food! Well, we know it's gonna be expensive when we have decided to dine in here, but not sure whether it is going to be worth it or not. But look at the name, it says 'New York Pizza", I hope it's gonna be as good and huge as the one I had back in USA.

The pizzas can be ordered by slice or the whole pie. To save up some budget we only order a slice with other side dishes to taste more of the food, as well as to keep the calorie low, Hah! Though it's still slightly smaller than my expectations, but it is still quite fulfilling anyway. Besides that, we ordered pasta with fragrant basil oil with pine nuts bits, the "I Dreamt of Creamy Pesto Pasta", it went perfectly well too.

As for the Waffle Fries, we love to have something cheesy, real cheesy one, so there goes the Brooklyn Waffle Fries. From the top, the cheese was beautifully melted, covering the waffles of fries. Besides the portion a little bit small, the fries were so comforting, loving the fatness and richness so much.

I have seen the neighbouring table ordering the whole pie pizza and it look seriously good! Though it may be a lil' pricy, but I guess you can't find any larger pizza slices in Malaysia. The cheese sprinkled on top was a melted to a beautiful mess and that's what I call food that comforts the heart. ❤️
