Another Place for Good Gelato! Smile Mar 23, 2016

Categories : Western variety | Café | Ice Cream / Froyo / Gelato

Every Sundae serves their ice cream with lots of toppings, sauces and condiments which make your gelato personalized. They do have several choices where they have already made up for you, just in case you don’t like to think too much, you can always opt for the pre-planned suggestions the shop have.

Well, if you really wanna go slightly more adventurous by building your own gelato tower, that will be great! Well, it would definitely cost a little bit more expensive, but yeah, you get your very own gelato tower with all your favourites condiments in one, so why not?

What really made me happy was the cotton candy cloud! That is truly, very instagram worthy, beautiful round scoop of ice cream topped on waffles pieces, and surrounded by cloudy cotton candy! How adorable! The Match gelato tasted authentic, but I would really love it to be a little more tannic, as in, more of the bitterness and the tea-ish flavour in it instead of the milky flavour. As for the salted caramel gelato, I could hardly taste the saltiness, perhaps it may be the compote that overpowered the flavour. But nonetheless, both the gelato has really smooth and creamy texture, but it could be denser, Haha!
I guess the gelatos are not meant for photos I suppose, as it melts really fast, so better think of your pose or what not, before the gelato arrives!

Beautiful Pastry House!  Smile Mar 22, 2016

I once passed by the shop and was captivated by the beautiful outlook of the shop. Sleek black paint with bamboo curtain covering the shop, Butter + Beans got its beautiful look to attract people for its coffees and pastries! The shop opens early at 8.30am, people work or stay nearby could grab a quick breakfast and coffee on-the-go. The price of the pastries were slightly expensive than expected but the well furbished coffee place is worth it pay to visit!

We tried on Ham Quiche as well as Raspberry Orchid Cake. The pie crust of the Mushroom & Ham Quiche was a bit hard, and the fillings tasted under-seasoned in my opinion. The Raspberry pound cake could be a little bit more moist and fluffy instead of being too crumbly and dry. Well, that’s my own preference I suppose. It’s not very common to find Financier as well as Raspberry desserts in other places, well the ingredient itself does cost a lot anyway. With that reason, I’d happily pay for a Raspberry based cake for a sweet 10 bucks!

The coffee over here is kind of good with the latte art presented was beautifully poured and the cups of coffee have brightened up our day!

Aesthetically, I would give a very high score for its fantastic ambience as well as beautiful appearance of the pastries and the way the display them.

Nathan's signage and its name looked like it serves Asian cuisine instead, as we walk towards the shop, only we realized that t's a fast food restaurant. 😂 The price was quite expensive as compared to the other branches of fast food, moreover it does not offer lunch or dinner sets, with one meal cost around RM 18.

Well, it shall not be compared with the usual middle range of fast food such as Mc Donalds or KFC, but if it's being compared with higher-end fast food like Carls Junior, that would makes a little sense. In fact, Nathan's signatures aren't burgers but hot dogs, and has made me think about A&W with it's ever famous Connie Dog. Nathan's serves hot dogs with different kind of toppings, and the cheese sauce was being squeezed generously on the hot dogs.

Soft drinks are refillable, but not Lemonade (Regular RM 4.49) 😞 Nonetheless, my love for Lemonades still win over the the temptations of refills. I was grateful that the Lemonade was good, as the meal was quite heaty and cheesy.

We ordered a Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich stuffed with lots of beef, sauteed onions, peppers and mushrooms(Ala Carte RM 18.99), accompanied with Krispy Beef Cheese Fries covered with lots of cheese (Ala Carte RM 8.99)! Besides that, we had cheese burgers too as it was on promotion during our visit, so yeah! This favourite common comfort food was simply amazing with its juicy beef patty grilled to perfection, sandwiched between soft sesame toasted bun. (Ala Carte RM 14.99)
To make the ala carte hot dogs, burgers or sandwiches into a set which includes soft drinks and jumbo crinkle cut french fries, it adds up 4-5 ringgits, so it would be around RM 20 per set.
In overall, my the food was okay, since I ain't a huge fan of sausages, I can't tell it is good or bad. But for me, the cheese sauce was really creamy but it is lack of the cheese flavour as well. I wont mind coming back, but it's not gonna be on my priority list.

Since it is located at a hidden corner near the ice rink, it may not be easily spotted. One advantage would be the environment, the place is comfortable and quiet. What surprises me was, power supply is available here so I can charge my phone or do some work there.

Le Pollidor wasn't a very obvious place to be spot on in Bandar Puteri. It on the second floor, and indeed a hidden gem.

The menu offered is quite comprehensive by having certain favourites of Asian and Western Cuisine, not forgetting to mention, they had huge varieties of beverages! 👍 I had a hard time to pick my dish to be honest. 😂

I ordered Japanese Curry Rice with Breaded Deep Fried Chicken Cutlet and my mom ordered English Breakfast. As a hardcore Japanese Curry Rice fans, the dish was okay only in this place, but I still like it, I bet nothing can goes wrong with Japanese Curry! The English Breakfast was quite good, especially the sausages that my mom keep complementing it. As for the Hot Chocolate that I've ordered, it was averagely good, but sincerely nothing special about it.

The environment is pretty comfortable as it is on the second floor, pretty much it feels like you are being isolated from the busy life of Bandar Puteri, and truly you can have your  quiet time with your loved ones or time alone over here. Indeed, me and my mom had a really good time spent with each other.

I can't comment much on the service because we are the only customers on that weekday morning around 11am. But Im pretty sure it is doing quite well as it has survived in Bandar Puteri for quite some time.

Good, but has to be better! Smile Jan 08, 2016

The interior design of the place was marvelous, elegant and dreamy, grace with the latest favourite colour- Tiffany Blue. The cafe concept reminds me of Full House restaurant, but with turns blue instead of pink.

The food was surprisingly good, and the prices were quite reasonable, since it's similar to those western restaurants in shopping malls. As a rare kind of themed restaurant in Puchong, the restaurant often crowded at night, and the parking is very limited too, so do pray hard before you come, if you intend to have dinner. 😂
My friends and I ordered Lemongrass Salmon Pasta, Terriyaki Carbonara, Deep Fried Calamari Rings and Classic Fish & Chips for sharing. A BIG PLUS POINT is that, a complementary soup of the day was beigg served with each main course! We has Spicy Tomato Soup that day, and it's perfect for me as well!

One back slide of the dishes is the presentation of the plate. Chopped parsley was being sprinkle all over the plate for almost every dish, making it looks messy and amateur. 😅 I did suggest that they remove the chopped parsley as garnish, and the plate will be clean and more appetizing!

Nonetheless, we encountered a bad experience on our visit, as we ordered pumpkin soup and waited for more than 30 minutes and turned out we had nothing as they say it was sold out after the long wait. I suppose there may be some miscommunication between the staffs? Nevertheless, the shall work on it to improve customers' satisfaction.

All in all, I would say it gave a good kick start in Puchong and it has caught the attention of the people in this area, however, in my opinion, the food service has to be improved to avoid turn downs. All the best, and Kudos!
