Loving the Fluffiness! Smile Jan 08, 2016

Categories : Malaysian variety | Café | Desserts

It was a perfect place for tea time with your loved ones, with the cozy ambience that allows you to chill regardless of a blazzing sunny day or a cold rainy day.
The environment is on the latest trend of minimalism. Everything is clean and clear over here, no fancy furniture or decoratives but it is delicate enough to catch you heart, especially for instagramming lovers! Plain white wall, with natural sunlight gleams through the glass panels onto the wooden table with lovely pastries, SNAP! You will love this place.
The Cafe serves only pastries, mainly cakes and waffles, Ice Creams as well as caffeinated beverages, sodas and tea only. Even though the varieties doesn't seem a lot, but it will definitely kill your sudden crave for desserts!

loved how fluffy the waffle is, like the name of the shop itself, I was "fluffed" by these waffles. I personally do not judge food that critically, but these waffle caught my attention! The texture is soft yet airy, unlike some waffles may be too packed and chewy, one bite makes you want more! The Red Riding Hood I had was full of strawberries, as I berry lover, the liked the sourness. One plus point, the overall sensation of the dessert wasn't too overwhleming as the sourness complemented the sweetness. No tooth ache for me this time, perfect balance of sweetness and sourness, KUDOS Chef! I'll definitely come back for the other fairy tales!

I personally likes how the pink latte trick my mind. It was good, and it was so familiar but I couldn't think of any thing other than red velvet and the moment when coco cruch infused in milk, described by my friend. The pink latte was good, just that the fact that red yeast rice powder doesn't dissolve well in the well, towards the end, it get more and more "gao", so make sure you stir well before every sip after some time as the powder may settle at the bottom. 😁

In overall, I"ll give my overall experience as 4.90/5.00. It was a terrific place to hangout, besides it may need some luck for parking!
A BIG YAY for the Minimalist Signboard :)

Definitely Coming Back! Smile Jan 10, 2016

The restaurants serves delicious Chinese cuisine indeed! My family and I often go to the restaurants as the food was quite awesome. The dishes we we ordered were served hot, and it feels extremely fresh from the stove! I personally don't really eat Loh Mee, but in here, it's a tragedy not to taste their Loh Mee. I was quite skeptical about the taste, but my dad keep asking me to try, so ended I up I had 3 small bowls with the soup bottoms up! In fact, the appearance does not look like the usual thick and slimy Loh Mee (i'm sorry! 😂), in fact the soup's consistency is just right, and the flavour hit on the right point.

Besides that, dad ordered Drunken Cockles as an appetizer, and guess what, in my opinion, cockles have never been so nice. The drunken cockles are "flooded" with chopped garlic to remove the fish smells of it and to give them a pleasant approach for those who are afraid of cockles. If you don't mind garlic, you'll love the cockles like I do.

As for the lychee pork, I liked the taste a lot, since it's sweet and sour pork anyway, but I expect the outside be crispy and tender meat inside. As for the spinach, it was boom! The spinach was served in a rich and flavourful broth was allowing the veggies to soak up good amount of the essence! Yums!

We did not order any rice to go with the dish, and the dishes are good by its own. Besides that, the Loh Mee is good enough to replace carbs in my opinion.

There's only one thing I would comment is that the portions are quite small over here, as we went in by a group of 8 person and the waiter suggested a set menu but we had to ordered extra since the portion is insufficient. 😅

Despite the small issue, we had a marvelous dining experience here, even though it may take us some time to wait for a table. Kudos!

Superb Food! Smile Jun 01, 2016

This place is a BOMB! I recalled I once passed by this restaurant in USA, but i didnt know that there's a branch in Malaysia! Without knowing much but the fact the it serve seafood and yes lobster, we dined in the place for a birthday celebration.
The space of the outlet in the Curve was comfortably small, with great service and friendly staffs. We ordered several dishes for sharing as we could try more, not forgetting to order some mocktails to go with the meal!

Before our food is being served, there were some cheddar baybiscuits being served. No kidding, but the complementary biscuits tasted delicious! I am so looking forward to the food they serve.

First the appetizers, the Lobster Bisque was so so so good, and I really mean it! It's was rich, dense and creamy, the flavour robustly overwhelms your mouth, I finished everything, not leaving behind it's very last drop.
And then, here comes the mussles in marina sauce. This is good especially when you soak all the sauces or broth with the toasted bread given, heavenly matched!

Moreover, the serve real good, al dente pasta with extra rich sauces, in extremely large portion to made satisfy your appetite! I personally liked the Alfredo as it gives a a really smoth and creamy texture that, makes you crave for more!

The fish and chips were impressive enough that the batter skin was very thin, and the flesh of the fish was thick and firm. Not forgetting the platter serving lobsters and other seafood such as scallops and shrimps that tasted fresh and juicy, tasted perfect even without any sauces!

I don't see a reason why they categorize pizza as appetizer, but the pizza was up to standard despite they dont specialize in making pizza, but the pull ed off I would say!

My overall experience in Red Lobster was superb! Not forgetting that on Saturday night, there are live bands just outside the shop, that's makes me feel like i was once in New Orleans!

Delicious Japanese Fusion! Smile May 31, 2016

The Japanese-inspired restaurant serves marvellous fusion food, and each of them has attracted me a lot by just looking at the name of the items.

The food was marvellous! We ordered the Teriyaki Salada and a Oyako Teishoku for sharing, and the portion was indeed satisfying and we are really full. No forgetting the passion fruit smoothie was delicious and refreshing! Indeed, the drinks wasn't overly sweetened, perfect to quench your thirst and cool down the heat on a scorching day.

The staffs provides prompt service and the serving of food was fast! The teriyaki salad that we had was seriously good, served cold and fresh. Not forgetting to mention that the chicken pieces are huge too, it's worth the price.

As for the Oyako teishoku, The baked mushroom pie and omelette was good too, just that the leek was slightly overpowering. I am personally okay with it, but perhaps not everyone likes the distinctive taste of leek. They also ask for suggestions and comments verbally or through survey, and they take it seriously. As a consumer, I personally has an favour on restaurants that care for their customers.

In overall, I would say that this dining place was better than my expectation and the varieties of food they serve were excellent as well!

Perfect Place for Pork! Smile May 31, 2016
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Western variety | Café | Pizza/Pasta | Steaks / Chops | Burgers / Sandwiches

The place serves marvellous pork dishes (obviously!) and the environment was pretty cozy and comfortable to accommodate people that enjoy dining in a casual environment.
The food was very impressive for me not only for the taste but also in terms of the portion of the food. It was really generous and the all the items were perfectly prepared on point despite there was a big crowd dining in the café!
The English Pressed Roast Pork with Crispy Skin, was overwhelming as the flavour burst in the mouth with a slight force to break the crisp, with the layers of potatoes being stacked on top of slight acidic and lovely sauce. It was amazing!

Besides that, the ham and cheese sandwich, was surprisingly amazing! I did thought that simple food like this, can be so good. The breads were toasted till golden brown, and the cheese were evenly sprinkled and melt without overpowering the meal.

I liked the Warm Pork Confit, Watermelon and Lychee Salad, it was refreshing and tangy, very appetising! With that amount of salad, it was very very fulfiling for a person's portion, it's better to share!

What makes the food looks better is the lighting I would say, the clean sleek black walls with overhead lights made the place classy yet fun. When food is being served, it's like a spotlight, highlighting the food. Though the food may be slightly expensive, I find it reasonable.

Spicy Bacon & Mushroom, the aglio olio style spaghetti, but the chefs are kind enough to leave the chili flakes behind for us as the kids couldn't take any spicy food. The generousity of the condiments like vegetables and mushrooms they used, are just to good to be true!

The Pork Sausages were really succulent, with a distinctive smoky aroma and flavour, goes perfectly well with the sauerkraut rosti. It was a smart move combining potato rosti and sauerkraut together since many times people can’t finish or  probably dislike sauerkraut.

The highlight of the night is definitely the RIBS! No other words to describes other that, heavenly good, tender and soft, with all the sauce absorbed or coated on the meat, it's definitely one of those that makes you melt.
