Nice Food with Good Portion! Smile Jan 20, 2016

The restaurant looked like a normal Chinese coffee shop or something like Kim Gary's. Nevertheless, the tiffany blue's interior has gave the shop a more liberal and cotemporary appearance.

What really attracts customers are the promotiion sets that they offer local dishes especially chinese cuisine including all sorts of rice and noodles dishes, which are familiar to most of the Malaysians. The place do mot serve halal food nevertheless. The set comes with a scoop of dessert and optional add ons of beverage for RM 2 to RM 3.

We ordered braided pork rice 卤肉饭,and also Black Pepper Grilled Chicken Chop Rice with Hot Milk Tea and Passionfruit soda respectively.

The portion of the food is very satisfying, and the food tasted quite good! Although the braised pork rice 卤肉饭 doesn't look and tasted exactly like the traditional one, but their version is still good in its own way.

Besides that, the Grilled Chicken Chop Rice with Black Pepper sauce was quite good too. Even though it is not something really special, but it satisfies the hungry stomach with decent portion and decent taste!

The service over here was good as the waiters are helpful as well. My aunt really like this place and had a good dining experience due to their prompt service and decent food. 👍

Thumbs Up for Churros! Smile Jan 13, 2016

My boyfriend and I went to have desserts after dinner in Meteora as my he commented that the churros here were quite good within klang valley. I am a big fan of churros, and I made some for myself by frying some normal choux pastry.Instead of going through hassles, I am still hoping to find a place that serve decent churros, knowing that the fact that a good churros can hardly be found in Malaysia.
Soft, slight chewy and airy churros.

Soft, slight chewy and airy churros.

I dont know why, but every time churros are introduce to the market by some shops or cafe, it didn't last long. 😞 The churros turned out fine, and I love the generous sprinkles of cinnamon sugar. Well, since cinnamon is a very 'subjective' ingredient, some may not like it.
Served with Chocolate Sauce and Caramel Sauce

Served with Chocolate Sauce and Caramel Sauce

As for the sauces, I liked the caramel sauce over the chocolate sauce. The chocolate sauce looks thick but the flavour is not as strong as its appearance. Not sure what type of chocolate they used but oh well, coverture chocolate is still the best, but price would be much higher anyway. Nevertheless, the Meteora's churros is one of the best I can find within this area, and by far one of the best I've tasted in Klang Valley.

Oh ya, and yes, I love their hot chocolate with a scoop of ice cream at the top served in a cute little mug, (they have special name for it, but I kinda forget already. mad)But there one concern about the drink,  it is  better to drink fast, because the ice cream melts pretty fast, and it may turns out the drink being too "gao" or thick.

I love the serenity over here, yes, as usual,  power plugs are always my best friends, since I often need it for work. smile It's pretty chill and cozy over here, with the beautiful lightings and slow paced environment.

The Best Chocolate Cake in Town! Smile Jan 13, 2016

This chocolate cake is a taste of divine goodness! I can't stop munching more and more, though knowing the fact the cake is kinda fattening, but the moistness, fluffiness and richness of the chocolate makes us forgets about the fact! Not so sure about the exact ingredients they put, but the taste of the couverture chocolate is so rich, no artificial after taste and no rancid oil taste at all. It makes me fell in love again!
I ain't boasting about it, but everyone in my family agree that this is one of the best chocolate cake we had. Without any frosting and toppings, the cake is perfect by its own, and it was the first time we finish the whole cake on the spot. In fact, the cake did not make us feel bored or disgust even after few pieces, it's more appetizing after every bite.
1 kg of the chocolate cake cost us around RM 60; to be honest, it is reasonable and worth the price! The cake is an ideal to cater people from all age groups and preferences, since chocolate is one of the most common flavour and the perfect level of sweetness caters young children to elder adults without having worries about gaining extra guilt from the toppings or frostings. I'll personally give the cake a perfect 10!

Scrumptious Big Pizza! Smile Mar 22, 2016

Categories : Italian | Restaurant | Pizza/Pasta

Pizzaaa! My all-time favourite comfort food! Well, we know it's gonna be expensive when we have decided to dine in here, but not sure whether it is going to be worth it or not. But look at the name, it says 'New York Pizza", I hope it's gonna be as good and huge as the one I had back in USA.

The pizzas can be ordered by slice or the whole pie. To save up some budget we only order a slice with other side dishes to taste more of the food, as well as to keep the calorie low, Hah! Though it's still slightly smaller than my expectations, but it is still quite fulfilling anyway. Besides that, we ordered pasta with fragrant basil oil with pine nuts bits, the "I Dreamt of Creamy Pesto Pasta", it went perfectly well too.

As for the Waffle Fries, we love to have something cheesy, real cheesy one, so there goes the Brooklyn Waffle Fries. From the top, the cheese was beautifully melted, covering the waffles of fries. Besides the portion a little bit small, the fries were so comforting, loving the fatness and richness so much.

I have seen the neighbouring table ordering the whole pie pizza and it look seriously good! Though it may be a lil' pricy, but I guess you can't find any larger pizza slices in Malaysia. The cheese sprinkled on top was a melted to a beautiful mess and that's what I call food that comforts the heart. ❤️

Insides scoop was very popular among my group of friends so I decided to hangout with my friends in the Bangsar branch. The outlook of th shop was very attractive, a cute ice cream parlour that easily distinguish itself from other restaurants.

There are plenty ice cream flavours in the shop with the Cempedak, Durian and Valrhona Chocolate being highly recommended by other online reviewer. Instead, we ordered the buttermilk waffles with a single scoop cookie and cream ice cream. The ice cream could be firmer and possibly improve on its melting properties. It melts super fast which I find it a little too messy and I can hardly taste the cream balls properly. Anyhow, the sweetness was just right for me, but the waffles needs more volume and has a denser texture. It was too light and it was more like a biscuit instead of the usual soft bread like texture.

Besides that, I personally liked certain flavours like the Throwback by pulp, an oldschool yet nolstagic coffee flavour. It does give a pleasant authentic coffee aroma and taste! Besides that, the Hojicha or roasted tea also gives a distinctive pungent aroma and slight bitter of the tannins of the tea, cutting off the sweetness to a appropriate level, which complete the whole sensory experience in the mouth! The premium ones charged at higher prices of additional RM 2, were said to have used ingredients with superior quality. For example, the Valrhona Chocolate Ice Cream was really really rich, and it does showcased how good Valrhona chocolates are!

The shop in Bangsar was quite small and usually full at night, so taking away is a better idea, if you're not taking waffles. The simple and homey style of the interior designs were very "photogenic", where simple yet pretty wall paintings can be act as a backdrop! Besides that, the environment in inside scoop was rather cheerly and welcoming, and this might be one of the plus point where people will still line up for it!
