Before the shop was being refurbished, the shop looked a little run down and I was quite doubtful about the qualities of the food and beverage they serve. The new look of the shop was so hipster and cozy, the interior has been renovated, making the shop looks pretty lively and youthful! Upon transformation, they even extend their business in selling bottled cold press juices!

The branch in SetiaWalk is one of my favorite spot to chill with friends or work on certain assignments. I always feel sleepy, half way doing work because the place is really comfortable. mad
The juices made here tasted very fresh, and the amount was pretty generous, 500ml for 11.90, upgradable to 800ml for 15.00. In fact, even without any food, finishing the whole jar of it would make you really full.

Cold pressed juices gains its reputation these days in line with the healthy food trend, without sugar or with reduced sugar. I always love the moment I walk in from the entrance door, as the natural fruity fragrances were mesmerizing.

The fruit juices can be customized whether it's a single fruit or a combination. Anyhow, the shop provides whole list of fruit combination juice, with different health benefits. My favourite is always something really sour, thus, some berries or citrus juice would be the best choice!

In juice d'fruitz, great dishes are being served as well. The sunshine platter's generous portion made it a great value deal indeed! The sausages were juicy, accompanied by two beautiful sunny side ups, salads, ham, baked beans and toast, all in one for RM 13.90, it's totally my kind of deal!

The Dancing Mushroom consists of fragrant sauteed mushroom sanwiched between hot, crispy yet soft croissants was amazing. The size of the croissant was unexpectedly huge, my friend claimed that the portion is lil' too big for her as she couldn't really finish then by herself. 😂

New Favourite Wanton Mee! Smile Feb 02, 2016
Share on TwitterShare on Facebook
Categories : Malaysian variety | Café | Noodles

My sister booked the whole cafe for my mom's 60th Birthday Dinner, and it went very well! The food was good and this cozy place is perfect for a gathering or celebration for 30-40 pax. I suppose they are one of the pioneers that sells black charcoal noodles as their main item of the restaurant, after myBurgerLab who highlights their black charcoal bun. What is more interesting, is the great varieties of wonton and charcoal noodles they serve! The odd combinations like vinegar, garlic and lychee sounded strange to me, but since it was being recommended by the chef, I trust that it won't be wrong!

The vinegar garlic and lychee charcoal noodles are a great surprise! It's more to a sweet sauce with a slight acidic note that tempts your appetite and makes you eat more! It's rather refreshing in a way, and does not taste so heavy. Moreover, a big plus point for the huge portion of food, with a big bowl of noodles accompanied by a separate bowl of 6 wantons that roughly has a size of gyoza.
Great Combination of Sweet and Sour taste!

I like value sets! It's happy to know that they do offer value sets, so I could come back for a delicious and satisfying meal for a reasonable price! Besides the noodles and wanton, there's add ons for the meal, snacks like curry fishballs and air fried chicken wings with additional charges, of course! For the curry fishballs, the flavour of the fishballs could be more intense as it tasted rather bland; on the contrary, the air fried chicken wings were quite good, as the marination of the chicken were being soaked into the flesh sufficiently, with a god crisp of outer skin after being air-fried.

I ordered Cranberry Chicken for my wonton fillings but the wontons seemed to be a bit overstuffed, as the fillings bursted out a little and the wonton looks a bit messy as if its leftover. Nevertheless, the deep fried cranberry wonton has really good taste and flavour, but the minced chicken fillings were a little bit dry, so I find it quite hard to chew.

I would comment that the portion if the food is really satisfying in my opinion. It was a good place for birthday celebration for up to 30-40 pax, with a cozy environment and decent food.

Artsy Place with Good Food! Smile Jan 21, 2016

The hidden Gem resides in Kajang, and the cafe & bakery looks extremely attractive with the european style designs, emphasizing Tiffany blue as the main colour theme. It was stated in the name saying that it's eatery, bakery and zakka. Indeed, for crafty lovers, the place makes you feel artsy and definitely lightened your mood with the art and craft decorations, and guess what, the sells washi tapes as well!

In this cafe, each corner looks pretty cute, and this would be a highlight for people who loves to take pictures. Plus,no worries, you can always bring big groups of people here for celebrations or gatherings since the place is very spacious and thus allows a larger capacity to accomdate more people! As from what I heard, the place is also suitable for special occasions like baby shower, birthdays celebrations or even wedding luncheon and proposals!

We came here for a light brunch, but ended up with ordered quite a lot and we liked the food! We ordered hawaiian pizza, pesto pizza and caesar salad, and the portion was quite satisfying. The chicken slices on the salad was no doubtly quite a big piece, instead of small chunks, yeah, I like it that way. The pizzas were sliced to 6 pieces respectively, and it's perfect for sharing, otherwise, I would say the portion is more than enough for me! In fact, I do agree on the serving size or portion of the food, with the marvelous taste, I would say that it worth the price.

I liked the flat white they served, it suits my preference for milky and creamy taste with slight bitterness. Everything they had, including the menus were well photographed and printed and were placed in a vintage box, making everything looked explicitly beautiful! Oh ya, besides hot cooking dishes, they also sell bake goods like breads and danish.

After reading certain reviews and blogspots about the restaurant, I just found out that they serves good main courses, with a team of kitchen crews led by a South African chef, and the dishes were being prepared and plated aesthetically! I ignited my interest to revisit this place to try out the other items on the menu!

Fabulously Good! Smile Jan 20, 2016

Categories : Western variety | Restaurant | Steaks / Chops | Burgers / Sandwiches

Initially my friends and I planned to dine in Opus but since we did not make reservations beforehand, we have to find another place since its fully book that night. We passed by this restaurant, with the lighting and interior designs looks clean and chic.  Without further hesitations, one of the waiter opens the door, and my friend walked in to the restaurant as if it was planned. The service personnel were friendly enough to guide us through the menu, and explained flawlessly about each of the items; professional and knowledgeable crews indeed. 👍

I ordered a chicken breast burger with appleslaw, I actually felt kinda embarrass for ordering such a kiddy meal in a high-end place, but it has attracted me at the first glance of the menu. It was so good, I have no regrets! The golden fries were seasoned will bacon bits, giving the fries more kicks! The appleslaw layered between the chicken breast and the buns were perfect matches. I can't tell exactly what it is but the taste of rosemary and spices, it's either the fennel seeds or cumin, blends so well with the appleslaw and I love how the taste lingers in the mouth.

Not forgetting to mention that the chicken breasts were grilled to perfection, sealing all its juices within itself, and releases in every bite! My friends ordered Aglio olio and baked penne with roasted vegetables. Both the pastas were good. But I still think that my burger is the best 😂, unfortunately I didn't even get a chance to take a real good picture of it, I was so so hungry, and the food looks enourmously delicious!  We had really good chit chat session together, and a good start shall comes with a good ending, dessert!

When the A-Class servers up sells the desserts we try to say no, but it sounded so tempting, so we agreed on sharing one. Crepe Suzette! It was delicious but the orange sauce were a lil' too sweet for me, but since it's topped with a scoop of not-so-sweet ice cream, there's not much of a problem. 😁 However, i was expecting the alcoholic taste to be a lil' stronger and thought that the orange slices would be slightly flambé, if there's a tweak of bitterness to the sweetness, it would be perfect for moi!

Overall, I'm positive for this place and will definitely revisit the place for more good food!

Delicious Pancakes! Smile Jan 20, 2016

Categories : Western variety | Café | Desserts

Jam and Kaya resides in the the PJ Palms Sport Centre, though it's kinda hidden but the power of social medias were undeniable, drawing lots of people to this place. Pancakes are their signatures, fluffy and the condiments were simple generous enough to make you agree with it. I would really like to give compliments on their choice of strawberries.

Unlike certain cafes putting in strawberries for the sake of it, but Jam & Kaya indeed uses fresh, huge and red strawberries, reflecting how serious they prepare the dish, from the ingredients the pick. Regardless of Savoury or sweet, they have nailed it, their soft yet moist pancakes goes well simply with any condiments.

The cafe is also known for their signature hot chocolate with chocolate balls. The silky smooth and rich chocolate drink warms up the heart, bright up the day with its sweet and lovely chocolate aroma, with the chocolate balls giving a slight crunch to the drink, completing the overall sensation.

The whitish interior designs of the cafe simply made the environment bright and cheerful. With the minimal decorations of daisies and glass bottles, it enhances the happiness of eating 😁 Everything in the cafe looks ikea-ish, simple and clean.

Jam and Kaya is a day cafe whereby it closes at night. But it has not influence much the traffic of the customers, yet they will always find a time to pay a visit. Kudos!
