QQ BBQ Steamboat  OK May 27, 2016
Categories : Chinese | Restaurant | Steamboat/Hotpot

Being as one of the popular hot pot and grill buffet in Kepong, I always want to see whats makes QQ BBQ Steamboat so special from other similar dining. After few times planning , I managed to get myself to join the crowd.Eat all you can, it means you can eat as many as you want for only at RM41 (inclusive of GST). If you plan to dine here, do wear casual as you are going to be smoked seriously. One of the thing I quite impressed about this steamboat bbq buffet is that they offer variety of foods that you don’t always see in other similar buffet place. For example, they offer herbal eggs, house signature crabs which will you will see people queue for it when it served, jelly, sweets etc.

Frankly speaking, despite of the variety kind of food, I did not see any special thing that makes the restaurant standing out from other BBQ Buffet. Their signature crabs was so so, choices of seafood are rather less compared with others. But one of the good thing here is that there is no time limit, so you can enjoy eating until the shop closed

Lim Fried Chicken Smile May 27, 2016

Categories : Chinese | Restaurant | Halal | Nasi Lemak

Anyone who has tried Lim Fried Chicken before can never resist to go back for their crispy chicken again! Rising to be one of the hot lunch spot for students, Lim Fried Chicken is located at one of the ever busiest stretch in SS15, be forewarned that finding parking here can drive you crazy.

Perfectly crispy and still hot while serving. Their chicken is serving in large chunkier pieces, instead of cutting it into smaller pieces. You can opt to have your chicken with vege/ egg. If you were not their chicken lover, which is rare to see, there are other choices like sotong or mutton as well.

The price is quite reasonable, judging from the portion. If you are not a big eater, one dish is definitely enough to share for two persons. Lim Fried Chicken proves you delicious foods do come in good price!

DubuYo OK May 25, 2016
Categories : Korean | Restaurant | Seafood | Noodles

DubuYO, previously known as Dubu-Dubu, is strategically located at the LG floor of the new mall Quill City Mall. Very cozy environment! And just like any other Korean themed restaurant, they have few TVs in the room that play the Korean song all day long!

They offer wallet-friendly lunch set started from RM12!!! Lunch set comes with selected drinks and side dish of the day. Kimchi lovers don’t worry about that as kimchi will always be one of it!!!

TAdaaa heres th Chicken Soondubu Jigae Set! Not much of chicken pieces in the soup, feeling I am just eating spicy tofu. The rice is a thumb up though. The side dish was not bad, but nothing to shout about as well. I found some special drinks they offer from the menu , for those who would like to taste some signature Korean drinks can go for it.

Monte Gelato OK May 22, 2016
Categories : Stall / Warung | Ice Cream / Froyo / Gelato

Monte Gelato, strategically located at the second floor of 1 Utama Shopping Centre. You can easily spot it as it’s facing the escalator to TGV.

From the menu we can see that the café served variety kind of foods, ranging from smoothies, fruit juices, waffles, desserts platter etc. The staff is very nice, for the first time comer like me, they were patiently enough to introduce their desserts.

I tried their Gelato Milkshake. I get to choose one gelato on top of my milkshake. They have quite a good selection of gelato here like Dragon Fruit, Watermelon, Apple Starfruit, Pineapple Orange, Mango, Lemon Lime and Passion Fruit. You can try it on before choosing, just like any other gelato store.

Not the nicest gelato store for me, but if you're a gelato enthusiast, Monte Gelato might worth swinging out for.

Sae Ma Eul  OK May 21, 2016
Categories : Korean | Restaurant | Seafood | BBQ

Sae Ma Eul, one of the most trending Korean BBQ in town. Last night I was being able to make myself free to visit their branch in Jaya One. For those who are not familiar with the mall, find Starbucks then you can find the BBQ restaurant in front of it.

I always want to see what so special about this restaurant. I read many good reviews about cheaper price here. The food is good, really good, but as for the price. RM59.90 per set for 2-3 persons, many might think that it’s considered cheaper in Korean BBQ. The set comes with sliced pork belly and baby octopus. However, the portion of the set does not really qualify for 2-3 persons. I do not consider myself is a big eater, even I think that the set is not enough for me and my guy friend. So we have to add on the kimchi soups and the rice balls as well. SO eventually the bill is around 100++

The rice ball is their signature dish here. A must try! Bear in mind that their rice balls are very spicy. The first try is ok, not for those who can’t bear with spicy foods.

Overall, price is reasonable, food portion is not. And the environment? Definitely not a good place for huge gathering or fancy dinner. I smell like a smoked duck when I came out.
