The best steak in town! Smile Sep 14, 2015

IOI Mall Putrajaya, one famous food spot. You name it, the more number of restaurants/food court in it, the more people who'd come and occupied the place. I wonder how did the restaurants are always full, even the one with expensive menus!

From Melaka, my friends and I personally visit IOI for District 21, and we really need a compulsory heavy meals before going back to where we belong. My friend decided to give Tony Roma's a try, since other restaurants are fully occupied (duh, Tony Roma's is full too, anyhow -- just because.)

I never been to any Tony Roma's before so I find it hard to choose the menu at first. The meals seem like an alien to me, because I'm quite picky with foods and my safest choice would be anything with chicken based. Couldn't find any, I decided to go with just it's fries.  mad

However, my friends ordered the Wagyu Ribeye, Lamb Ribs and Chicken Caprese Pasta. We also had the Roma's Sampler. I must gave standing ovasion to the best wagyu ribeye, it tasted like heaven! The lamb was good as it is. It is just that the pasta and Roma's Sampler that didn't reached my expectation (or I'm not good at this). The pasta was fine, just the taste of the chicken with weird taste and the think orangish curry at the chicken in Rona's Sample, I couldn't take it. Same goes to the Onion rolls I am totally not a fan!

The funniest thing is that we received free drink because the waiter wrongly sent it to our table and since they said if they brought into the kitchen, the drink will ended up in a trash can, so it was considered as a treat for us. We didn't finished it though, I guess we were'nt suitable for fancy and too cozy foods!  mad

The experience was cool though and the total for 4 person dine in was RM249. A magnificent experience for us whom still studying  tongue balloon

Have you ever come across this feeling of where it is easier to decide for dinner at the road side stalls instead of lunch at the same stated kind of stall/restaurant? I have it, seriously.

We typically choose to dine in at mall's food court during the days that we find it so hard to suggest off-mall kind of lunch place. Here's one of a good suggestion for lunch place, which located in Tengkera.

Located just beside the main Tengkera road, just next to Methodist Girl School, this stall best attracts tourists, locals and school students. Offering at low prices that a student can afford, it explains why this stall is always full.

The best and significant meal here is obviously the Mee Sup, which comes in three choices : noodles, rice vermicelli and kuey teow. The dressing inside includes shred chicken and chillies.

Other food available here is the traditional hand made spring roll which if you consume two of them, you will be stuffed for half day because of its size.  mad

This stall is open everyday EXCEPT Thursday from 1.00pm to 7.00pm.
It ai'nt hard to find, trust me!

Despite the mushrooming of urban and themed cafes around Melaka, it still cannot beat the legendary and cheapest chops in town (Chicken/Lamb Chop). With only charging RM8 for chicken chop and RM9 for lamb chop, I personally claimed this stall as the best street vendor that offers chicken chop in town!

Besides the huge and satisfying portion of the meat, it also come with a superly great gravy which is mushroom soup and blackpepper (my favourite would be blackpepper! you guys should try it)

This stall is more to a food court in an alley, which consist of numerous numbers of stall inside. Besides this western stall, there's malay cuisine stall, fresh juice and burger stall. Quite an option for a decent foodcourt.

Please bear in  mind that this foodcourt is located in the middle of a busy road and besides Bayview Hotel, which unfortunately offer less parking spaces. But don't worry, there's residential area just behind the hotel where you can simply drive in and park (no blocking residents needs please) and go to the foodcourt via back area.

This foodcourt starts operate from 6pm to roughly midnight. For a good nightlife spot, here is on in Melaka!

Here's for early booking or to check whether it is open or not!

I remembered in May, where I just landed from domestic flight from Penang, it was late dinner hour and me and my spouse were hungry. I was thinking of grabbing some snacks on the way home but my spouse insisted to treat me with sort of fine-dining dinner, so yeah why not kiss

Trust me, wherever I go, I could never neglect my mother tongue (taste) because despite all fine spagetti and what sort listed in the menus, I ended up odering nasi lemak for myself - with rendang. Oh dear! A taste of heaven flower

I am more to rice person rather than noodles and other, so yeah that explains a lot. My spouse got himself an oglio, his all time favourite, anywhere anytime. We remembered adoring the furnitures and arrangments in the restaurant, and also the music arrangment that creates the beautiful ambiance for diners.

Since we came in a little bit late, the chef acknowlegde me of the nasi lemak is sort of damaged so he offers to replace it with plain rice. I guess that was okay because after all, the courtesy and effort that counts. flower

Obviously, the dishes tasted good as we were both starved from the evening. Dome is well known for its big portion, so it definitely match and worth the price!

Categories : Food court

Melaka is well known for desserts, no?
I must tell, this is one of my favorite ABC store in town!
I'm not sure how other states in Malaysia do it, but there's certain ABC shops in Melaka offers ABC with gula Melaka (it is more like the brown sugar) Nyums ! yummy
No harms for several visits in few months right?
Hoped that you won't get too attached to it that you wanna make weekly visits! lol

Located in the second floor of Mahkota Parade mall, (just besides Al-Ihsan and bowling alley), this is the 4th stall (booth no 04). You can custom your request for the ABC anyway, there's side dishes like the jelly, red beans, cendol, and many I-don't-know-its-name thingy mad

For your kind info, this foodcourt is open from 10am to roughly 9.30pm daily, and besides desserts, there's much more selections t be explore here.

So, gear up! chopstick
