Last week, I was plan to go to the Malaysian Chocolate Fair to hunt for some chocolate then go to The Gardens buy some art materials but failed due to sick...I was keep rolling on the bed continuously from morning until 9pm...although I felt damn hungry but no appetite at all and scared will vomit once I take some foods... While searching what to eat for lunch at The Gardens, I remembered Hokkaido Ichiba which I had read some reviews of them earlier but always forget it when go to The Gardens and always miss the part of route which I always not passing by. Compare to Super Dining and Super Sushi these two company, the Super Dining which is more look like Japanese Sushi Fine Dining but the price also slightly higher.
Hokkaido Ichiba
Interior
I had a hard time to make decision for my lunch. There is total 5 menus, lunch set, a la carte, seasonal promotion, beverages and dessert(Hokkaido Ice Cream).
Mini Udon to Chicken Katsu Zen
The portion is quite big, definately enough for female. Their set lunch price range is 28RM-40RM~
Mini Udon
Medium serving size with lots of mushrooms inside garnished with some wakame and chopped spring onion. The soup is light and clear.
Chicken Katsu
The portion is generously big. The chicken is well seasoned but slightly oil as I can see mini "oil pool" on the plate, most probably not probably filter the oil after deep fry and serve to customer.
Nagaimo Mentaiyaki
The Japanese yam topped with spicy cod roe and mayonnaise grilled to perfect. Although I can't taste any spicy flavor at all but it is still a pleasant dish which is the cod roe creamy and the yam is quite "crunchy". But the price is slightly overpriced for me.
Fruity Sampler
Come to the "main dish", which is the most satisfied dish I have there. Hokkaido Ice Cream is famous with the Niagara Wine Sherbet and it is really not disappoint me since I have drink Niagara Sparkling Wine before. The Niagara Sparkling Wine releases strong fruity(grape) aroma once I opened and fill my bedroom. The fruity sampler includes six flavors both ice cream and sherbets, Melon ice cream, Niagara Wine, Japanese Apple, Citrus, White Peach and Mango Sherbet.
Mango Sherbet
The sherbets are flavorful, fine and smooth texture, instantly melt in mouth. Recommended Dish(es):

Last month, my friends and me shared to buy a voucher of CBSCKL, which is 50% discount for a value of 300RM. Kinda awesome and worthy, isn't it ^.^
Causeway Bay Spicy Crab KL
Authentic Garlic & Chili Crab
The signature dish of CBSCKL, a Must dish if you come here. Customers are feel free to choose the spiciness level to suit their tastebuds. The crab come with a small spicy garlic mountain, the crab is like a treasure hiding below it, waiting for your discovery. The strong flavor of garlic doesn't overwhelming the natural flavor of flesh and goes well with rice.
Authentic Garlic & Chili Crab
Baked Crab with Salted Egg Yolk
There are 2 types of salted egg yolk crab that I know, one is wet and another is dry. We thought they serve wet version since mostly serve this type in KL but we're wrong. Anyway, the flesh of the crab is piping hot. The crab is lightly coated with ligh batter before cook and come with lots of salted egg yolk. This is alluring but sinful, isn't itHigh in cholesterol, so be warn!
Steamed Cod Fish
My most favourite fish, cod...nothing else can replace it, haha. We have it with the best way, steamed method to maintain all its natural flavor. The cod is very fresh and smooth texture. Awesome and delicious.
Homemade Beancurd with Seafood and Vegetable
The beancurd is velvety silky smooth. Inside of the tofu stuffed with a lot of seafood and also sliced mushrooms.
Stir Fried Romaine Lettuce with Dace Fish and Fermented Soybeans
Some vege. Just to pretend that we are healthy and have a balanced meallol
Complimentary dessert "龟苓膏"
Unexpected we had been served the free herbal jelly like dessert. It is nice and taste good, one of the best I have ever. Recommended Dish(es):

This restaurant in my wish list since last mid year and after a year, finally I make it, also I have to before I'm going to print out my own gastronomic photo album in this coming October, feel so excite. I'm realized the Malaysia top 3 restaurants all named after the flower/herb name, Cilantro, Sage and Frangipani. Hmm, all just a coincidence
Pool at the Center of Frangipani
Pool at the Center of Frangipani Located at the crowd of restaurants and bars at Jalan Changkat Bukit Bintang, the hidden gem of the KL city. Sesame Seed Butter A fragrant of butter to spread on the warm bread to enjoy.
Amuse BoucheSalmon Tartare Topped with Fish Roe
The bread is little bit tough to break apart, I guess that's why this is the amuse bouche(small bite) which have to finish in a single bite.
Chef's Special of the DayChilled Tomato Soup with Thin Crisp Bread
Chilled Tomato Soup with Thin Crisp Bread A hint of freshness from the herb inside the soup and light flavor. Good.
Pan Roasted Porcini Powder Dusted Hokkaido Scallop with Half Cooked Potato Slices, Seared Porcini Mushrooms and White Gazpacho Vinaigrette
Other than fish, the most favorite of my seafood surely the scallop. The scallop is coated with the mixture of roasted dry rice and dried porcini mushroom dust then pan fry it. It's appears in the plate with such wonderful fragrant, tempting, golden brown color. My most favorite dish at the night. The scallop is nicely cooked to secure the juiciness and tenderness. That is supreme delicious!
Pan Seared Foie Graswith Apple Rendang Serve as a Strudel
Another innovative dish which replace potato with apple in the "rendang" style then decor with the phyllo strudel ring. The portion of foie gras is generous and nicely seared. No complaint about the apple rendang, it's kinda ordinary, flavor not so match with the foie gras, maybe just differ with each people's tastebuds.
Palate CleanserHoneydew Melon Sorbet with Pink Peppercorn
While having this sorbet, I'm actually thinking when I able to be such innovative as the chef, I wouldn't know that this fruit sorbet can goes so well with the culinary ingredient, pink peppercorn. Aw, I need to gain more knowledge although I did it all the time.
Pan Roasted Line Caught Red Emperor Snapperwith Black Mussel Sauce, Tarragon Oil, Sweet Potatoes, Leek and Carrot
I know the famous main course is the duck confit but then again, I can't resist any fish course. Not up to my expectation. A small bone is found inside the fillet which truly ruined my appetite while I having the 2nd fillet. I absolutely don't like my fish has bone inside, except unagi which is unavoidable. The sauce is great and flavor to go with the juicy mussels and the fish.
Iced Green Apple Soufflewith Cinnamon Crumbs and a Tarte Tatin on the side
Instead of normal warm baked souffle, I have the iced souffle which taste like frozen ice cream to pair with the sweetness of apple tart. I do believe there are still many awesome dishes like scallop waiting for me to try. The service is good enough and nice serenity ambiance to dine in. Recommended Dish(es):

One of the outlet landed at Tokyo Street, similar like Shojikiya which is a grocery. The lighting inside the outlet seem rather dark and make it look not so outstanding among the outlets at there. But not... I have spend about half an hour in this outlet, keep walk-in and walk-out for few times. There are some awesome looking displays at the middle of the outlet. They definitely catch my attention when I walk by them.
Yumiku Okashi-ya
I know I'm kinda crazy when I decide to buy them I think such kind of exquisite cookies only affordable by the very rich people, of course, not me. I'm just wish to try out what make these so expensive, it is not ordinary's expensive!
Goncharoff's Corbeille
The renowned chocolate maker based in Kobe, which is originally established by the Russian exiles, Makar Goncharoff whom had been a confectioner that flee from Russion Revolution.
Goncharoff's Corbeille
There are total 16packs with 2 kinds of bases and flavors: Langue De Chat with Milk Chocolate and White Chocolate; Tuile with Milk Chocolate and White Chocolate. Langue De Chat might be a new vocabulary to someone but not me. This is a kind of French cookies, which also known as Cat's Tougue that is crunchy with brown edges. Meanwhile, need not to introduce the tuile which most people know and eat it before. I like the Tuile the most. It has very crispy texture and supreme aromatic of almonds. Both are filled with very rich chocolate. It is one of the best cookies I ever had, I seem can't find any cookies better than this in KL. For the expensive price of 100RM, even this is so great but not affordable for 2nd time.
MonRoi/MonRowa
MonRoi in French means "My King". This is another luxury and exquisite cookies, inspired of France too. Baking the dough to resemble a plaque with a king's scepter, isn't it look so classic and exquisite The MoiRoi 18 included 6x3(Spiral Shield Shaped) and 5x2(Inward Spiral Scepter Shaped) for the price of 147RM
6x3(Spiral Shield Shaped)
There are 3 types of flavors: Hazelnut, Coffee and Pistachio. The spiral-shaped shield ,crisp baked cookies are filled with rich and yummy praline. I love the coffee flavored most, once the seal is open, the fragrancy coffee scent is dancing in front the nose~
5x2(Inward Spiral Scepter Shaped)
The inward spiral Scepter cookies are filled with roasted almond and hazelnut praline, using the finest nuts. These both are kinda ordinary for me. Mochi Sweets
The elegant packaging do really attracted me :-) Hmmm, that's the important of packaging in the marketing~
Instruction of Defrost
I just wondering why never freeze the mochi again once it's defrost, can someone does really taste the different of it Anyway, these mochi really "fresh", very soon expired, so best to consume within one or two day but I can easily swallow them within 1hour!
All 12 Flavors
Assorted flavors, some are ordinary to me but some are kicking delicious! Using the traditional recipe, the mochi is soft, smooth pliable wrapped with different kinds of fillings and cream, making every single mochi unique and rich in taste to suit your tastebud.
Mochi Sweets 4 Flavors(From Top Left Clockwise)Blueberry Cream, Red Bean, Caramel Macchiato, Strawberry
The caramel macchiato of course would be my favorite! While the red bean is ordinary, but one of the best seller
Mochi Sweets 4 Flavors(From Top Left Clockwise)Yam, Green Tea, Cream Chocolate, Black Chocolate
Strongly recommend for the cream chocolate which really taste like Nama(means Raw) Chocolate, it give me a feel like having the Royce's Nama Chocolate, the black chocolate is rich with little bit of bitter, my kind of favorite.
Mochi Sweets 4 Flavors(From Top Left Clockwise)Sakura, Red Bean, Chestnut Cream, Mango Yoghurt
Some has mention that the sakura is slightly salty in taste, I feel the same, wondering why... I do like the appearance of mango yoghurt which look like a runny egg yolk A small mistake that there are two red bean mochi in the same packaging while the Peach Cream is unseen
