We would not have ever think that there are place to eat at Bay Avenue, Penang until we were told by friends that there are a few restaurants and cafes there. So we went and ended up at 绊 Kizuna Japanese Restaurant.So if you are looking for food at this area, especially japanese food, Kizuna Japanese Restaurant is definitely for you ! haha ..Kizuna Japanese Restaurant is a nice place to dine in, the environment is some-what romantic, haha ! With dim lights and simple interior design it is comfortable for us to sit for hours without even realizing it.Ok, first, the drinks. There are a few types of drink available here in Kizuna but if you prefer to take bottle water like us, then here are some of those you can choose from.Oishi Ice Lemon Tea RM 4.00

Bottle water are mostly tasty, just like Coke and 100 Plus, they taste good unless you don't like it .. then it might not, haha ! Beer is also available in Kizuna.Ikura Chawan Mushi RM 10.90

The Chawan Mushi is tasty and with the Ikura on top, it gives a different taste it, we are not saying that the Ikura makes it not tasty but what we mean is the taste is special when mix Ikura and Chawan Mushi together. haha !Kizuna Kyushu Ramen RM 19.90

This is tasty, the meat is soft and tasty ! Everything in it mix well.Pork Mayo Ramen RM 19.90

We particularly love this, the pork is tasty, we can even taste the pork in the soup which is very different from the Kizuna Kyushun Ramen, If we were to rate the two ramen it would be 7/10 for Kizuna Kyushu Ramen and 9/10 for Pork Mayo Ramen.

Suddenly ! it seems like a lot a lot of people are crazy over the one korean food made famous by one korean food restaurant, what food you ask ? haha .. is Dak Galbi (닭갈비) of course ! Well, we did not go to the that one famous Dak galbi restaurant here in Penang because there were a lot of people lining up outside the restaurant waiting for their turn to dine in. So we decided to go to the other korean restaurant which is just few blocks away. Which we heard, has been operating there for some time now, probably around a year or so. It is 春川 ChunCheon Korean Food Restaurant at Vantage, Penang near to Tasco Tanjong Tokong.The moment when we walk up the stairs to ChunCheon Korean Food Restaurant we can already smell the nice aroma of the Dak Galbi cooking in ChunCheon Korean Food Restaurant. It makes us feel so hungry. haha ! The business in ChunCheon is not bad either, we still have to line up and wait for around 30 minutes before there is an empty table for us to eat.The environment of ChunCheon Korean Food Restaurant is nice but probably due to alot of people dining in on the day of our visit, it is really hot in here. The owner even bring out extra portable air cooler for their customer.

The service there is really good, especially from the owner of ChunCheon Korean Food Restaurant but the waiter and waitress service is 'not-bad' only, haha !

We do need to wait for awhile before our food is served as the ChunCheon Korean Food Restaurant is pack with people.This is the how the Dak Galbi looks like once it arrive at our table.This is how it looks like when it is fully cooked, haha ! It is RM 26.00 per serving and we must order minimum 2 serving.

This is actually a mixture of stir-fried chicken with onion, cabbage and sweet potato in gochujang (red chilli paste) sauce. It is tasty, the chicken is soft but in small pieces. The gochujang is not very spicy and there is some sweet taste to it. The sweet potato goes well with the cabbage and the mixture is really yummy !

From the menu, you can order other additional dish to mix into the Dak Galbi. There are Fried Rice (RM 6.00), Ramen (RM 6.00), U-Dong (RM 8.00), Rice Cake (RM 6.00) and Cheese (RM 8.00).

Well, honestly we don't know what U-Dong is and we feel weird to add Cheese to a Dak Galbi but we don't want to eat Fried Rice, so we added Ramen and Rice Cake.The Dak Galbi comes in a set with side dish of vegetables, kimchi and plain water.Piglets Rating

Soon after the opening of Loaf U Breakfast And Too Much at Lebuh Melayu, Penang, another outlet is open at Bayu Mutiara, Bukit Mertajam. I never really take the effort to go visit this outlet until recently, haha ! The crowd now is not as much as i expected it to be, like the one in Lebuh Melayu previously was really crowded when it first start operation.




Turket Ham RM 7.00
(Turkey Ham + Cheese + Egg + Lettuce)

The Turkey Ham is simple but tasty. The cheese and egg is oozing out from the bread making it so tempting to eat, haha !




Local Noodles + Chicken Patty + Egg RM 6.90

I don't really like the noodles, it is salty and the Chicken is very spicy for me, i can't even finish the chicken.


Mochaccino RM 4.00

The drinks is good, i like it .. though i feel that there is too much ice in the Mochaccino but it is still good.

Haha, I was out with friends the other day to discuss some really serious matter, haha ! I make is sounds like as if there is a big plan or thing coming .. haha ! We plan to go other place but eventually end up at Garage Coffee House, which is not a bad thing thou', I kinda like it here .. haha !

I really like the environment here, its comfortable and nice, suitable for a group discussion as well, haha ... the air conditioning does gets a little bit too cold but its still good, haha ! Went to call the waiter to turn down the air condition a few times. Their service is good in terms of attending to customers need.

For food, you will need to order it at the counter. Garage Coffee House have a wide range of food to choose from, there are Macaroni, Chicken Burger, Salmon, Pancake and many more. Go Go ! And be spoilt for choice, haha !

Carbonara With Bacon RM 16.90

The pasta tasted a little bit bland, it does not really features the taste of the carbonara, the only strong taste on the whole plate is from the bacon and egg. From the look, it does look tasty right ? Especially the half cook egg-yolk on top, its really OMG ! If you put that egg-yolk in front of two best friend, its going to end up with world war, fighting for that egg ! haha .. !

Spicy Seafood Aglio Olio RM 18.90

Spicy Seafood Aglio Olio taste nice. I love the spicy taste of it but do that note that it will be more and more spicy as you continue to eat on, haha ! The first few bites was ok, it gets more and more spicy as you eat more, hahaha !

Now for the drinks. The moment i look at the menu they placed on the wall, i instantly spotted Honey Milk with a big thumb by the side, so i went straight for it, haha !

Kek Chuan Road in Penang used to be just an ordinary road with old houses or maybe shop lots, well piglets are not sure about that, but the rows of building on both side of Kek Chuan Road used to be old. Now this small and short little road is transformed into a more lively place with few new cafe now open, photo studio, music centre and lots more.

Dolce Dessert Cafe is also situated at Kek Chuan Road, Penang

Dolce Dessert has a unique wall painting on it. Taking rat as their theme, the painting makes dolce looks different compares to other cafe in Penang. Don't worry, the rats are not the ugly looking type of rats, they will make you go .. "Auw !! Cute" ... hehehe !To see the rat holding the cheese as if they are running around Dolce Cafe does makes us hungry !!Dolce Cafe is a dessert house ! They sells different type of dessert ranging from cakes to macaroons. Some of the cakes there are uniquely designed just like the one we had which looks like a log with christmas tree.
