How could we miss Yee Sang during Chinese New Year?! Well, this is my Lou Sang in year of Monkey and me and my friend decided to dine at Spring Garden Chinese Restaurant @ Tropicana Golf & Country Resort. Somewhere quite and ample of parking bay available. We managed to get a private room this time and have a quick order as we are hungry.
This restaurant serve two types of Yee Sang, choice of Classic Yee Sang and Fruit Salad. Anyway, I would still prefer Classic one. It came with Abalone and Salmon slices. It was really yummy!Shark Fin Soup (individual serve), piping hot soup in milky white colour which boiled for long hours. The soup was tasted light and sweet, I can find pieces of fish maw in it. I’m loving it!Upon dishes were served, I have ordered white rice to pair with the sumptuous dishes.
Nestum Softshell Crab, this is consider medium size Softshell Crab chop into half, deep fried with batter and Nestum for final coating. The Softshell Crab was crispy outside and soft inside, yet filled with the aromatic of Nestum and butter. Thumb up!Marmite Chicken, deep fried chicken with Marmite coating. It was a flavourful dish and Its goes well with white rice.Claypot mixed vegetable, this is a vegetarian dish which comprise of glass noodles, Black Fungus, Mushroom etc braised with Oyster Sauce. Indeed a flavourful and tasty too.Overall, I am satisfied with all the above dishes. Also, the service is good too.
 

I believe everyone has heard of Uncle Jang. Yes they are famous for their Dal Galbi. You will be seeing lot of post in Facebook when they first open. I did not get a chance to try this until today. Purposely drive all way to Sri Petaling branch which is the nearest branch to me. I reached about 6.45pm only 3 tables are occupied. Quite glance on the menu and ordered few signature dishes including Dal Galbi (RM23.60 per portion). hmhm... waiting for them to cook it in front of us. I have chosen spicy one. The spicy pungent you can smell when they cook in front you. In fact, apron is provided however since nobody was wearing it so I did not bother to put on. The server has get ready all the ingredients: Cabbage, Chicken meat etc. I have added Udon (RM6.70) and Ramen (RM9.00) as well.The cooking progress takes about 15mins and it is ready. The whole dish looks spicy but when I taste it actually is not that spicy that I thought. It will be salty if you intend to eat as is therefore I have paired with Korean rice (RM3.40). Yes, it is a prefect match. Koream Ginseng Soup (RM21.30) is one of my favourite. The soup was light and sweet. The chicken was stuffed with glutinous rice to bring to boil for couple of hours, the flesh was tender too. I have finished the glutinous but not the chicken as it will be too full for me. Korean Egg Pancake (RM9.00), I did not expect the pancake was so delicious. Pancake was pan fried to golden brown colour yet it was light and not too oily. It was really good. Banchams are served however the choices are limited which are Kimchi, Preserved onion and lettuce. Of course garlic and Korean Bean Paste are available too. It was a satifying dinner I had. I will definitely be back again for more.

I came across this restaurant via one of the blogger friend commenting the burger is highly recommended. Since it is not too far from my house, why not pay a visit there. It is rainy day, I reached there about 7.15pm for dinner. This restaurant is located in Lakefield Sungai Besi, occupied the corner shop opposite PH Pastry.

It was considered early therefore only 3 tables were occupied. sw

I have gone through the menu and ordered few of the signature dishes here. The dishes were served after waiter for 15mins.
Freshly squeeze Orange Juice RM8.90, it is sugar free.

I have the urge to drink coffee tonight, here goes my Cappucino RM9.90. Its came with a piece of biscotti in orangy flavour. 

Here comes the signature burger- BBQ Ribs Burger RM17.90. Quite a reasonable portion, the set consist of Burger, fries and a mini cup of Maccoroni salad. The ribs were very tender with BBQ thick sauce, it will be a bit salty to eat as is therefore it has to pair with the burger bun. I like the taste of the BBQ sauce, aromatic and sweet. The maccoroni salad taste good as well however is just too little cause definitely you will ask for more. Never expect it to be so good.

Aglio Olio Pork Bacon RM17.90, special cooking method and it does not taste like Aglio Olio at all. Slight spicy with generous amount of Bacon which I cannot finish the Bacon and also the mushroom and onion. This is quite an average meal. Yes, its came together with a piece of Garlic Bread.

Roasted Pork Pizza RM19.90, this is 8" inches pizza cut into 8 small pieces. This pizza was prepared without any sauce but only roasted pork on top. As you can see the pizza was spreaded with vegetables on top, carrot and cucumber. For your information, the carrot and cucumber were well marinated with sugar and vinegar therefore its tasted a bit sourish. Hmhm....

In fact, cakes are available all time. However, I was very full after eating all the dishes and I have no room for dessert anymore. Perhaps to try it during my subsequent visit.

Steven Corner use to be a night hot spot back to year 2000. Yes, is not only hot but super hot. Who does not know where is Steven Corner?! The indian male boss with thick gold chain on his neck, lolx. I was the super fan too those days. Anyway, I cant remember when was my last visit though. After reading the Top 10 Cheese Naan from Openrice and Steven Corner is one of it therefore I suddenly have the urge to come here. 
I reached around 8pm and the restaurant is rather quite about 20% occupancy. After placing the order, just look around the surrounding. It has changed a lots from last time. Renovated and expansion for the entire restaurant. Looks clean and neater now. 
As usual, beverage will be served first. My favourite Teh Tarik, the sweetness is just right.

Teh O Ice Limau- the sweetness is just right too. 

Next, Maggie Mee Goreng with fried egg. This is bad, the noodle was overcooked and it is too soggy. Texture wise is not good either, it has lots residue in the noodle, every bite has lots of chilli seed, chilli flakes and others as well. Is not good to eat.

Roti Tissue- is served cold therefore it is very soggy. Not much of taste also as the sweetness and buttery were not there too. 

Lastly is the Cheese Naan RM6.50, this is good. The naan is soft, you can taste the cheese in every bite. Im loving it. 

In conclusion, please do not order the Maggie Goreng and Roti Tissue especially the noodle, it was very awful. You can get it anywhere of the mamak which cook very much better than here. In short, Cheese naan is highly recommended here. Good luck!

I cant remember when was the last try of Kam Lun Tai pastry. hmhm....I guess is more than a
decade ago. When I first discovered that KLT has a consignment counter at Ben Li Kitchen, I went and buy it without any hesitation. Its offered few range of traditional pasties, however I picked few of my favourites such as Portugese Egg Tart, Traditional Egg Cake, Swiss Roll and Traditional Chicken Pie. 

The first try was the Chicken Pie RM2.70 the filling was very special unlike those cook with Char Siew sauce but thick and creamy. It was delicious.
Swiss roll RM2.40 was sold in single slice, it was the kaya spread instead of butter cream. I buy this because of kaya flavour. The sweetness of the kaya and swiss roll were just right for me.
The Portugese Egg Tart RM2.70 to me is just average nothing extraordinary.
Lastly, is the Traditional Egg Cake RM1.60. I like this egg cake as it was very soft and fluffly. Luckily is not that sweet that I thought. Nowadays hardly can find good Egg Cake anymore. Glad that it is available here!
