Barbaque! Smile Mar 23, 2016

Categories : Thai | Japanese | Restaurant | Buffet | BBQ

BBQ Town restaurant concept is similar to Barbeque Plaza. I like to eat Barbaque Plaza very much. However, the nearest outlet to me is Sg Wang and Berjaya Times Square which the mall that I dislike to go. In order to enjoy barbeque moment, I have paid a visit to BBQ Town at Mid Valley. Eat All you can at RM32.80++ inclusive of beverage. Is almost the same price like Barbaque Plaza. The different is one is halal and non-halal.

It is a Saturday afternoon, the restaurant was very packed. I was waited for 10mins to get a table. Have a quick order from the server, I want lamb, beef and chicken slices please. Then, proceed to the counter to pick the ingredients. They have most of the “balls” such as Chicken Ball, Lobster ball, Fish Ball, Vegetables ball, Tou fu etc. I can wait to start cooking immediately. Let’s start grilling now!

Apart from the ingredient, they served Sushi as well. I have picked few of my favourite sushi such as Kapamaki, Tuna Mayo, Tamago, Inari Sushi etc.

Also, the best part of the barbeque is All you can eat Soft Serve. They come in 2 variants- Green Tea and Chocolate with topping available such as Chocolate rice, Peanuts, nata de coco etc.

Nice ambience cafe Smile Mar 16, 2016

Categories : Western variety | Restaurant | Pizza/Pasta | Steaks / Chops | Desserts | Group/Family dining

Is a beautiful Saturday, I have a date with my friends and we decided to pay a visit here for breakfast. Partly also I want somewhere to be quite and cozy.

We have reached around 10AM and the café was quite. We just take our own sweet time to order our foods.I have googled their review prior to my visit, unfortunately I have forgotten which is their signature. Therefore, I just picked those I like.
Cappuccino (RM11), strong taste of coffee. I did not add in any sugar, I just like the bitter taste of coffee.

Prana Chai (RM16), if you are a Chai tea lover, you should try this. Very food aroma of spices infuses into the soy milk.

Big Breakfast (RM28)- as it named, big portion consist of sausages, ham, harsh brown, button mushroom, tomato, garlic bread and scramble egg. You can choose how you want the egg to be cooked like sunny side up, hard boil, omelet etc. Taste is pretty standard as it is all processed food.

Grilled Chicken Panini (RM16), simple sandwich with grilled breast chicken meat sandwich between Panini with generous amount of vegetable. Moreover, it comes with mix vegetable in balsamic dressing. The portion is just right for breakfast.

To end my breakfast, I have Chocolate Cake to be share with my friend. If you like those cake in very “chocolatey” flavour then this is what you want.

Overall foods experience is satisfying, but I like the ambience than the food.

Hong Kong Style Meal Smile Mar 16, 2016

Categories : Chinese | Restaurant | Seafood | Noodles

As you know getting a table at Kim Gary Mid Valley during lunch time is very tough. I was very lucky today as I manage get a table because happen to have customer is about to leave. Yes, I do not need to queue anymore.

The foods were served fast even though it is super peak hour. I have main course, appetizer and drinks to be reviewed. Let’s kick start with drink first as this the first they served.

Iced Honey Lemon, cold and refreshing especially this super hot season.

Cream Soup, smooth and thick texture with small tiny ham bites in it.

Crispy Chicken Popcorn, snack of the day. Deep fried chicken chunks crispy outside and tender chicken meat inside. It was well marinated too.

Herbal Chicken Soup Noodle, this is a bowl of instant noodle. However, it was added with wolfberry and steamed chicken to a advance the flavour of the MSG soup. Yes, it was nice to eat.

Nissin Soup Noodle with pork chop and fried egg, this is second bowl of instant noodle ordered. Simple chicken soup base noodle, sometime instant noodle can be very tasty.

Yummy Penang Food Smile Mar 15, 2016
Categories : Malaysian variety | Restaurant | Noodles

I got hooked with Penang food recently especially the Penang Char Kuay Teow, I was around SS2 area and I remember Lorong Seratus does have an outlet at this area. Without any hesitation, I am heading to the restaurant.

Need not to think much longer, I would like to have Char Kuay Teow today. However, the appetizers were first to serve. This is one my favourite food, Cuttle Fish with Kangkung Salad (RM8.90). Preparation of the dish is rather simple, the most important is the sauce must be good. Anyhow, the sauce is thick and spicy, I like to eat with the peanut as it will give a good month-feel of it.

Penang Chee Cheong Fun (RM4.80), this is Penang style Chee Cheong Fun as they are using prawn sauce instead of sweet sauce. If you were ask me, I would prefer Sweet sauce.

Finally, my Char Kuay Teow is served. It has a good aroma of wok hei, you will find three pieces of medium size prawn in it. The Kuay Teow was slightly spicy but overall it is acceptable. I would like suggest to squeeze the lime juice into the Kuay Teow as it will give the noodle a good kick.

I have another Fried Noodle to try off which ordered by my friend, seems the taste is the same but the different is Kuay Teow change to Yellow Noodle. Anyway, it is equally good.

What’s satisfying meal I have! My crave has been settled with just simple plate of noodle!

Reasonable price Smile Mar 15, 2016

Categories : Thai | Chinese | Restaurant

When you pass by Jalan Kelang Lama after The Scott Garden, you tend to see a yellow banner hanging in front of the restaurant about their Dim Sum selling at RM3 per plate. This is considered reasonable if you are talking about nowadays Dim Sum price. Moreover, there are operating for 24 hour. You can enjoy RM3 Dim Sum all day long. In fact, apart from Dim Sum their ala carte menu not expensive either. Here are the dishes that I ordered for my lunch.

Teow Chew Style Steam Fish (RM45), this is simple Chinese recipe with simple ingredients such as tomato, preserved vegetable and tou fu. I like this dish so much because I can drink the “fish soup”. Sourish, sweet and appetizing.

Cereal Butter Prawn (RM75), it was smells good upon serving. Golden brown crispy cereal, curry leaves and chili padi tossed together with large size prawns. Thumb up!

Homemade Tou Fu (RM32), deep fried homemade tou fu topped with mushroom mince meat sauce. Simple dish yet yummy. Best eat with white rice.

Steamed vegetable (RM15), we were struggled for the cooking style of this vegetable, belacan or preserved beancurd or fried. Eventually, we have decided to fry as is. Sounds more healthy right?!

Since the Dim Sum is cheap, therefore, we have ordered 4 snacks complement the above main course.
Deep Fried Fu Juk (RM3)

Thai Style Deep Fried Tou Fu (RM3) , deep fried stuffed tou fu, best dip with the Thai style sweet and sour chili sauce. Tasty!

Sesame Ball (RM3), the only choice of filling is Lotus.

Deep Fried Prawn Fu Juk (RM3), to those who like prawn, please order this.

Overall foods were satisfying, big portion and reasonable pricing. Yes, their service is good too!
