I believe most of us have heard of Walnut Café. They are quite popular recently until I received an invitation from my friend. We came during weekday dinner and the restaurant was quite packed around this hour. We are going to be there for quite a while therefore we have ordered their signature Lemongrass White Tea. It was served in a small bucket, lightly sweeten with light lemongrass taste.

We saw quite many diners ordered Wing Skeward (RM38.90) and we decided to give it a try. It came in 6 pieces of Chicken Wings, well-marinated and flavourful. Yes it was taste good.

Croque Monsieur (RM19.90), this is one my favourite food. Not many café served this I am glad this can be found here. It came with 2 side lines- Fries and salad. It  was delicious!

Coffee is a must to order here, Latte (RM11.00), strong coffee strength and slightly bitter.

Overall, I am happy with the foods they serve. I definitely will be back for more.

Korean Food Smile May 12, 2016

Categories : Korean | Restaurant | Noodles

It was heavy rain at night and I drove into to Viva Mall for dinner as I need somewhere shelter and nearby. I have no idea what to eat until I pass by this Korean Restaurant. It seems that the restaurant name has changed. Therefore, I stepped into the restaurant because I like to try new food.

Had a quick order and we were served with 3 variety of the Banchan. For your information, Banchan is side dishes in Korean. We have Kimchi, Bean sprout and Cucumber. The Kimchi was really impressive, spicy and flavourful. The is the best Kimchi I had thus far. I even asked for additional 2 plates for it. Indeed yummy!

KimChi RaMyeon (RM13.70), Hot and Spicy Noodle with vegetable and chicken. This is not that spicy that I thought. It is good to savour a bowl of hot and spicy soup in this raining time.

Dol Sot BiBimBab (RM15.40), one of their signature hot stone rice topped with fresh vegetable and chicken. Taste was not bad after adding the homemade chili paste.

JapChae (13.70), Korean Fried Glass Noodle with Chicken. I enjoy eating glass noodle as it was soft and smooth. This is the must-order dish whenever I visit Korean Restaurant. The portion is big with generous amount of ingredient.Taste is not bad too.

This noodle was come with a bowl of Soup with egg drop in it.

Pan Jeon (RM12.90), Scallion pancake with mixed seafood. I love this pancake very much. First it is not oily, thin yet crunchy of course is taste good.

Overall foods were good and satisfied. Price is reasonable and service is superb!

Hakka Noodle  Smile May 12, 2016

Categories : Chinese | Restaurant | Noodles

This is my first visit to this restaurant, to be frank with you I have not heard of this brand before. Wonder is this the famous Lou Shu Fun from Seremban?! I was just finished my shopping at SSF and happen to spot parking available in front of the shop. Without further hesitation, I stepped into the shop. They offered various types of noodles, luckily. This is because I dislike Lou Shu Fun.

I have ordered their Hakka Noodle which is one of their popular item. Meantime, my beverage was served. Sour Plum drink, this is refreshing, sweetness and sourness were perfectly on my liking.

Hakka Noodle, the noodle was very springy, lightly salted with roasted Char Siew on top. I like the taste of the minced meat, it goes well with the noodle. This is delicious!

I definitely will come back again to try other noodle. Nonetheless, my friend has tried the Claypot Yee Mee, she has positive comment too.

Chocolate Dessert Smile Apr 18, 2016

Categories : Western variety | Café | Desserts

This café is not new in the market, they are famous for their chocolate creation desserts. I suppose to drop by Pavilion for dessert however I would like to give it a try here instead.

I just like the design of the café- vibrant and jovial with combination of 2 colours which is light blue and pink.

The café seems quite during my visit, could be it was weekday odd hour moreover the mall itself also quite as usual. Wonder how they can sustain the business.

Okay, coming back. I wanted to try their Crepe today as well as their Chocolate drink. Eventually, I have selected Chocolate Banana Crepe (RM26.50) and Chocolate BOMB (RM12.70).
The presentation of the Crepe was good, appetizing you will feel happy when you see the crepe filled with thick layer of Chocolate. The Chocolate sauce was smooth and creamy, sweetness is just right for me. I would advise this dessert to be shared with 2 or 3 persons, otherwise you will definitely unable to finish if you are eating alone.

Chocolate BOMB, as you can see from the picture. The Chocolate cube and milk are served separately therefore, you have to dip the Chocolate cube into the warm milk and let the Chocolate melt into the milk. Hmhm…taste not bad.

In fact, Mad About Coco does have savoury menu as well such as sandwich, spaghetti, rice etc. Perhaps to drop by next time to try other menu.

I happen to be around this area and wanted to drop by for lunch. I have no idea what to eat therefore I just climbed up to Plaza Damas hope I can get something good to eat. Star Café was caught my attention with their giant size of signage – STAR CAFÉ. Browsing the menu at the menu standee, oh yes this is what I want to eat today.

I have Pumpkin Soup (RM10) for my starter, comes with one piece of crispy Garlic Toast. The soup was smooth, thick and creamy.

I had Spaghetti Bolognese (RM24) for main course, it has very good smell of cheese upon serving therefore the spaghetti was thick and creamy. The taste was good which on my liking, they using chicken mince meat for the sauce.

Overall the foods were satisfying, definitely will return for other menu.
