awesome char siew! Smile Aug 08, 2014

Best place if you have a craving for char siew. Serving up the best I've had in Malaysia. Pricey though but you get what you pay for. They also serve up yummy Hakka noodles. Service is pretty quick but the place does get crowded during lunch time. I usually just take away since I live a block down from the place. Must visit!

best yong tau foo in pj... Smile Aug 08, 2014

This has got to be the best place to get yong tau foo in PJ. Made fresh daily with good quality ingredients. Almost everything on the menu is tasty. I would recommend the chee cheong fun either in classic black sauce or with curry. Will not dissappoint you. Also remember to order their fresh warm soya bean milk. Has to be the best around and great for rainy days or when you are feeling under the weather.

great food and service... Smile Aug 08, 2014

This is our breakfast hangout on most days. They serve a mean nasi lemak with your choice of condiments like fried chicken, beef rendang, cockles sambal or chili squid. They also have yummy nasi dagang with gulai ikan tongkol. Other good options would be their soto, curry mee and roti bakar w/ half boiled egg. Drinks wise they make good Teh C Special and their choices of coffee is not too bad.

awesome street side burgers... Smile Aug 08, 2014

Been going to Jackson's since I was a young boy (almost 20 years ago) and they have never failed me when it comes to consistency, value and service. They have moved along the street along the years but always easy to find.
Very simple menu of chicken, egg, beef or fish burgers and hot dogs. Of course you can mix and match em if you want. What makes their burgers yummy is that it isn't the typical Ramly patties but more of their own. The fish is simply awesome. Simple condiments of raw onions & cucumber with a toasted bun. Am just drooling thinking about it.
Highly recommend. The only down side is they are getting old so they tend to close on certain days and when it rains don't expect them to be there. Will be a big loss when they finally decide to close down.

yummy classic chinese food! Smile Aug 08, 2014

It is now a yearly tradition of heading to Sek Yuen for Pre Chinese New Year (CNY) dinner. They serve up some of the best classic chinese cuisine. Service isn't that great as most of them are the grumpy sorts however the quality and taste of food makes up for it. I do not think you can find restaurants like Sek Yuen anymore that serve up tradisional old school chinese dishes. As the saying goes 'Just how mom does it!'.
Must have choices would be the Pei Pa duck, Braised 8 Treasure Stuffed Pork Trotter, Deep Fried Grass Carp, Kah Heong Chap Choi, Crab+Egg+Tung Fun w/ lettuce wraps & Wu Tao Kau Yoke. Also if you go during CNY period make sure you have their Yu Sang which is made from fresh veggy and not the preserved crap by most places. We usually have 2 rounds!
