Las Vacas is actually a butcher with a steakhouse by the side. They mainly focus on selling quality meats especially beef of various types. However the best part is choosing these meats from the counter and getting them to prepare it. They sell real quality cuts and when prepared stick to the basics of just salt and pepper. They also know how to grill it just right so all those fussy steak gods can rest easy. Being quality cuts they can be very pricey but you get what you pay for. Have been here twice so far and tried 4 different cuts of meat. Quality is consistent and service is adequate.
Don't expect much when it comes to atmosphere as its just some simple tables and chairs located behind the butcher counter. Idea is just sit down, relax and enjoy your cut of meat. So if you have a hankering for good steaks head down to Las Vacas. You won't be disappointed.

Pelita is always a great place for some yummy food. Consistently good in all their locations. This branch in KLCC is one of the bigger cleaner ones which is always crowded due to its location. Problem is the service can be poor and it is way overpriced. Better options out there value wise but they got the location spot on so doubt they'll ever lose business.
In terms of food the best would be their nasi kandar which is a form of mix rice. Line up with the rest and choose from the plethora of variety from seafood to meats and veggies. You can't go wrong with any of them. Make sure you get the server to mix all the curries together and pile it on! Please be warned you won't be able to do anything after a plate of nasi kandar. You'll just want to bum the day away or head home and sleep.

all about pork... OK Aug 07, 2014

A no frills simple deco restaurant focusing on porky goodness. Service is average while the menu was pretty good serving up bites, pasta, burgers, rice dishes, salad & desserts.
We started off with some Keropork which were cracklings. Came freshly fried & still popping. Crunchy & goes well with a good beer. For mains we had The Full English, Pork Goulash, Bangers & Mash and Huevos Rancheros. All pretty good especially the sausages which were flavourful & had a good bite to it. The Goulash however was slightly oily & could do with more spice. For dessert we tried their Peanut Butter Pie which was heavenly.
Worth a return to try some other items on the menu especially the ribs & bacon gelato. Do note that they only accept cash which was rather disappointing.

This is an awesome cafe for chilling out. It is charming, inviting & cosy. Love that they spread the tables & chairs out so it doesn't feel stuffy. There is even a sofa to bum. Depending on the weather my pick is the al fresco area.
When it comes to their food & drinks I would say its pretty average. The coffee is decent, nothing special. Managed to try the latte, iced americano & iced mocha. We were aiming for brunch items so tried the Feeka Big Breakfast and Feeka Omelette. The latter was much better especially when I had some lamb sausages to go with it. Also tried the Lavender Cherry Pound cake which was good. Not to sweet & moist. Value wise I felt the pricing is a tad on the high side especially considering portion size.
Overall a great place to chillax. Perhaps to have a cup of joe & some cakes or pastries.

awesome wild boar curry! Smile Aug 09, 2014

This place is famous for their wan tan mee served with many side orders. You can have the regular char siew, wild boar curry, chicken feet w/ musroom, pork leg vinegar, hakka stewed pork & even ginger duck. However I prefer their wild boar curry the most. It is fragrant & the meat is tender. Their noodles are hand made I think which is springy & has a good bite to it.

The shop itself is just a typical stall type place by the side of the road. Quite clean & parking isn't that much of a problem. Then again I only come late nights so not sure during peak hours.
